Ask a rancher how they feel about them. Get a large pack running and not much is safe.

Wolves are fine, until the DNR introduces a pack in your local area, they desimate the deer population, and start barking and growling at you when your walking in and out of the woods before and after hunting hours.

Great. There's some running on the property we're trying to get.

I remember when my Grandfather stated that there was a reason they killed them off, about the time I was a teenager regarding their reintroduced to parts of the lower 48 - Yellowstone.

My sled dog looks just like one

I still like them!

They are a good thing in truely wild settings.....how many of those are there?  Anywhere else where they overlap with humans and the simplest elements of civilization they become problematic because they work the path of least resistance. Domestic animals and humans become easy targets because LAWS constrain our abilities to protect property. Unless a direct or eminent attack on a human, Lord help you if you get caught shooting one!  Protected wolves near civilization are like MS13 without ICE ..... vicious and hard to wipe out.

Yea,

I remember how a buddy of mine from Wyoming told me how the wolves there were committing suicide by drowning themselves in a river

The ranchers would shoot at the corpses as they floated by...

Reactive targets here too.
Took a poke at 700 yards or better with the shotgun. Thought he was 200 ish and I’d give it a go.
Found prints at about 700, 6” across. One big wolf. Now have rifle at my disposal too.

I’ve been around Nate. I took on a new job a few months ago. It has made me really busy.
It kind of runs into 24-7 sometimes for days weeks on end.

I’m in the middle of a failed generator repair right now.
Man I miss being on the tools at times like this.
Once I get pictures to this phone I’ll post a couple up.

But I’m still kicking and looking forward to some vacation.
