It's been time to replace some bearings. First the idler wheels on the corn head. These run the gathering chains. There are 24 total. We replaced 3 in the field so decided to replace them all. Most were not too bad but these just fell apart.

Then I replaced the rollers that the trap door on my grain trailer. It's been increasingly harder to open the traps. I priced the part at the dealership. $8 a piece. There are 52 of them total. I took one apart to see what it was. It's just a sealed bearing so I tried car quest. $9. I bought one just to get the part number. Than found them on line. $2.70 at https://www.bearings.parts/

Dewalt 20 volt battery. Needs tweaking as the slot is ruff and this material is brittle. Got some better stuff coming.

I want to be able to slide a tool with out the battery to hang or mount the tool.   All of my batteries are in a hard case for easy of accountability.  To many subs use them and the end up missing.

It did have an extra part that came with it though. (thread to follow)

JR, that’s the skid loader I used to own (well brand and model at least)

80hp, needs a seat, a couple hoses and tires. Just 1450hrs.It will be fun to paint (not yellow) Pick it up early in the week.

Heading up to the ridge until Sat. Probably more inside work than outside.

Got this too; https://www.pyramydair.com/s/m/Hatsan_BullBoss_QE_Air_Rifle/4112#7849

Noticed I had a leaking shock on the Pete so I stopped off at the parts store. When I opened the hood to get the number off the shock I seen the heater hose shut off leaking. So change if plans. A few heater hoses needed attention also.

Me likes

Totally useful

You'll wonder why you didn't always have one

OD green or yea, maybe blue, or some color with a thin blue line painted on the side...Yea, that's it

Then

Give it a name

Maybe a Cop name

I'd vote for "Chips"

Anyone else wanna help JR name the "Attachment" he bought that has a loader attached???

JR, depending on year the hydraulic oil cooler is mounted to rear door. Like a 1” or larger hose connecting it to pump. Do yourself a favor and replace them first, when the fitting or hose lets go it is a huge mess, don’t ask just do it.....  :likebutton:

See if you can find a set of tracks for it.  They go right over the wheels.  This means we have to get up a name for the Kubota as well.

Sorry to ruin the good vibes but I need to ask you gentleman to say a prayer for a fallen officer, his family, and the Huntsville Police Department. During interdiction of a drug shipment one of our officers was shot and he has since died from his wounds.

Bad day for good folks

Prayers for the officer, and thank you sir for your sacrifice!

Prayers also for the innocents murdered by the islamic (Saudi) person

Just another example of how much followers of islam hate us.

Why exactly are we training them!!!!!!!!!!

As a side note, I trained with a Saudi major when I was attending the Instrument Examiner course. None of those aviators were worth a schiff. Seriously, they were flat out lousy to down right scary pilot wanna-be's.

When I talked aviation concepts to them I always had to dumb it down to some basic level for them to get it at all.

Sorry for turning this into another rant, I just am really tired of these poc's killing us. And worse yet, we taking care not to offend them

Two words ____ them!

Just installed some of this Ring junk into my house, plus some of that amazon tell the world to listen in on stuff

The door bell is kind of nice,  the camera inside needs to be placed somewhere less kid accessible.  They dance in front of it.

The amazon show is maybe handy.

Anyone want to watch the dogs play while we are gone for the day let me know lol

Took the family up to Sioux Falls for a little weekend getaway. It was pretty evident that we don't get out much. None of us could figure out how to use the parking meter. After a few minutes of confusion it was determined that there is free parking on weekends.

12 hours of sanding and staining and varnishing the front doors.  I promise I’ll never let a stained door get in bad enough shape to have to be completely sanded again.  Some wool and a coat of varnish would be soooo much  easier.

So from the department of way too anal retentive.

You guys may recall that I wanted to refinish the lanterns on the front porch and disassembled and bead blasted them down to bare aluminum and then powder coated them oil rubbed bronze.

So I added a new house number plaque and I wanted it to be illuminated at night but the lanterns don’t project light downwards because of the way the housing in made.

So I went in search of a wall mounted light kind of like a light over a piece of artwork.  Most were too big and over powered and way over priced, like $300 for a simple plaque light.

So I found some miniature LEDs on line and ordered some.  Then figured out how to mount the ballast/driver/transformer thingy under the cover of the lamp holder and then using some micro molex connectors extended the wiring to the bottom of the fixture and bolted the LED on the bottom back of the fixture where it is barely noticeable.  It works very well and does exactly what I wanted it to.  All for about $15
