Today, fielded a call from the HH6 informing me that the AC tech says we need to replace the 4ton AC for the upstairs.

$14k for a trane.  Not sure if that includes the furnace and air handler.  Will have to investigate and get some other estimates.  I suspect a little “zip code” pricing here.

Any thoughts on Trane versus Carrier?

I think between the two brands, whichever offers the best price and warranty for comparable product. I have had both brands, and have been happy with both. The gas replacement is the big cost when a part fails and needs replaced because the gas is lost and not included under warranty.

True statement right up to the time the trencher cuts through something it shouldn’t have.

I think what you have will keep most away. For the pro, they enjoy the challenge. I don’t show off my stuff and hope to keep the pro away.

Have to wonder why two shut off valves. So is that the supply to the valves for the sprinklers? Not sure what is happening there but is the whole thing above the frost line?

Well , it is Spring and the gas BBQ is ready to go. Mixed up some olive oil and seasoning and added some cut white onion, summer squash, cherry tomatoes, and beef sirloin to soak up some flavor. Elk or deer blackstrap works nicely too. Also a bunch of large shrimp dripping in butter just because. Sorry, no photos and a smoker grill would be better but not set up yet.

Ken, thought about laying some wood down those ramps so the track cleats aren’t tearing up the metal cross pieces. Wouldn’t have to move the ramps either.

We have found the best way to control the credit score is to use our three credit cards for most purchases but, pay off in full each month. One card for fuel purchases, one card for general use around town, and one card for online use. Easier to watch for unauthorized use. For us, the credit score lowers if we close a credit card account. If we decide we don't want the card anymore we destroy it but the account is still in place.
I really don't care if credit score drops a bit because I closed an account, but lots of businesses use the credit score in figuring the cost of products I buy, and I don't feel that is right for anyone. If they use credit scores to figure interest charges fine, but for initial cost of a product?

if you place the storage area back up off the end of building, you could do a couple levels to cut down on dirt moving. one level for storage under the sloped roof on the end of building , and a bit higher level for "stuff" Does Nevada require a pond at lower end of site drainage, or so little water it can be turned loose into the drainage path there now?

Man do I remember all the roadblocks. Talked with the electrician a couple weeks ago. Waiting on a meter base. If I was sure 100 amp service would be plenty they could finish up right away.

JR, my dump trailer is 14000 and weighs just over 4,000. Only power up and gravity down. Dealer said if I had both power up and down the battery would need charging at least once or twice a day. Never have had a problem lifting a load or the trailer coming down on its own. Only wish it was a bit wider inside but so far haven’t had a problem with only 6 ft inside width. It has the large scissor lift and really works nice.

Need to move my 34 Chevy back to Washington from Az and driving it home got to be less of an option all the time. U Haul wanted 450 bucks to rent an open car trailer but the more I thought about it open trailer wasn’t a good idea either. Started searching and found a like new 8.5ft x 20ft x 7ft inside height car hauler enclosed trailer. It is a 2022 Look Ignite toy hauler with torsion axles. Nice reinforced ramp with extension and the rear of trailer dovetail so the ramp is not too steep. 9999lb gross weight trailer with E rated 15 inch tires.
Wasn’t looking for a higher end model but not much around so bought what was available. Screw less exterior and vinyl interior walls and ceiling, and one piece aluminum roof.  6 floor mounted D rings and an extended tongue.

I called Outlaw rods yesterday and found out the builder ordered the chassis with 2 1/2 inch dropped spindles. Explains why there is very little ground clearance at the front of the car.

I hear you about getting money from your own bank. Our bank has closed down so many places. We only have bank machines both down here and up in shelton WA. Bank machines are a far cry from being able to serve the people.

Well the car is now in Bullhead City AZ. Looking at the sales info that came with the car, that air cleaner is a repo of a Caddy cleaner. Once it sits straight with the engine it doesn't look all that bad. The one thing I have found I don't like is the gas tank filler pipe is inside the rear door. Must be careful not to spill gas or the car will stink from the fumes. It is a tight fit while driving the thing, not sure I really want to drive it back to WA this spring. Might be better to park it and bring down a trailer to get it home. It sits so low I need to cut some ramps to get over the gutter line to get up the driveway into the garage. Need to free up all the remote door poppers with teflon spray. Having to roll down the windows and use the inside handle to open the doors got old quick.

Well my old computer doesn't like the link..I did have the vaccine, and now I find myself trying to buy all the things I have wanted for years but really can't afford. Too old for bank problems, but they might be coming
