Hey BrainsI have noted with my finely tuned and trained Aeroscout Mark 1 eyeballs1. Aftermarket exhaust2. Steering shaft repair with the good stuff3. Some rust4. Some other things...I'd sell it quickThere's a comprehensive fluid change startin' here & it will get 90% completed then the dirt and dust will overcome it to never be found again, other than as duty as a rolling parts bin also formerly known as SQ D^2
Luckily for me, I have a secret weapon protecting me from the notorious "comprehensive fluid change": a college student's budget coupled with a Duramax that is just itching to break something expensive. I'll pop the tranny off, see what I can do, and if she's not worth the repair then I'll sell it off. If I can get it driving half decently, then maybe I'll keep it around just for the novelty of having a dirty W250 with 300,000 miles.

Fix the little things and drive it. Don't waste time with the big things like the rust, no need. If it runs strong who cares what it looks like!
You're pulling the trans to fix the pin (screw)?
Okay, I just got off the phone with a nice retired gentleman named Wayne who I have no idea what he does but said he has around 150 vehicles on his property apparently. He has a 1992 Dodge W250 12v/5 speed club cab with 2xx,xxx miles and no box, but supposedly ran and drove good last time he drove it (4 years ago...). He said just off the top of his head he was looking for $4200, which is probably a reasonable price if the cab isn't totally rotted out and it actually does run and drive good, but I'd still probably show up with $3500 cash and offer $3200 of it. If I could pick that up in the $3500 range, I should mention that the farmer I bought this first W250 off of had some old '70s Dodge 2wd gas job with an 8' well built flat deck he said he'd sell to me for dirt cheap, but I'd have to take the whole truck. By dirt cheap, I assume he means probably something like $200, mainly because he said he would be stoked to just have the dang thing out of his yard. That flatdeck would in theory work great to replace the missing box on this one.In the mean time, someone PLEASE freeze my bank funds so I stop buying old Dodge junk. If I keep this up, my backyard will become a 1st gen graveyard, and my dad already is annoyed with one giant heap of rust sitting back there already, I don't think he would appreciate me having more.
this wouldn't be a meetinf i'd go to get help.. it'd be a place i'd go to find more parts!
