Finally took deliver of the new 23!
The good part!
Interior is 100% compete to order, missing nothing.
The exterior has everything I wanted and then some.
The bad, there is one identifiable scratch in the driver side door and someone chipped the paint on the edge of the driver door also. The dealership pulled out the old touch up pen for that one. Ass hats! Like I wouldn’t notice.
The look on the dealership owners face when I pulled out my LED light to walk around the truck was priceless! I warned him I would and he will get penalized for it now and in the future.
He said he would get it repainted. I declined as my last repaint was far less then satisfactory. Won’t be going that route again.
The details:
The camera system is amazing with all the forward, side, in bed, tailgate, mirror cameras, the 360 degree deal is awesome!!!
The ride is really smooth considering the tire pressure is at 80psi!
The driver seat fits like a glove with plenty of seat adjustment to make me happy compared to the Peterbilt with up down and lumbar lol
They finally relocated the def fill up and tank I believe, to the proper location on the driver rear fender.
I did get short changed on the rear dually inner fender liners. National back order. Non are shipped with them.
Wife hasn’t drove it yet and boy does it make my garage real small feeling real quick.

The tires are a decent brand Michelin, I’ll replace them as needed with something more aggressive and a little taller.
The interior has the great highcountry feel, nicer leather, some nice wood looking trim,

My previous understanding was it had rubber floor Mats but I’m being told that’s not the case

Nice truck Dave :likebutton:

The tech I am spotty with as I’m not 100% on details but….. I was told the 10 speed will not like Smokey burnouts and will cause some major issues if I try so I won’t!
The motor is much like our company semi trucks. They derate them from the factory and as miles are added Hp and Torque is increased.
When I drive the Mack transport truck I can feel it gaining power now that it’s at 55k miles as last time I was in it. The GM Duramax should do similar but reach its full potential around 10k miles. As the diesel tech told me I laughed at my wife as she started doing the math, 4 miles a day, 260 days ish a year. That’s only 1000k a year if I just drive it to work. So ten years from now it could be broke in
The under the Hood business is pretty simple looking much like the previous generation. No change. Don’t need to open the hood for a year at least I hope. Maybe I’ll put some masking tape on it so it doesn’t get opened.

Paint protection will come in the very near future. I’ll have the PPF installed over almost 75% of the truck
Hood, grill, bumper, mirrors, headlights, complete rear fenders (maybe pending looks and seams)
This weekend I’ll do the basic paint correction to church up the paint and then add the Meguires ceramic coating I have applied a few times.

Full paint correction and polish before many miles added to it. Hitch install later today

What hitch? Assuming you ordered it with hitches you needed installed. Unless Gm doesn’t actually think anyone would haul anything with them and doesn’t offer it as an option.

Very nice looking rig Dave. I haven’t attacked the tree pitch sap on mine yet but it will never look that nice. Darn white trucks.

I ordered a B&W at the dealership and had them install it. The factory puck system looks like Chinese junk to me. So I chose to not have it installed by the factory, also didn’t want to store the additional storage case for the ball and chain hooks.
So there is a B&W turnover in the bed. I’ll wait on airbags till after the first trip, thinking the sumo spring deals look like a solid option also.
It’s Northsky blue metallic in color
Has a gold/silver flake. Some lights it pops a gold flash on it, night time it just looks black.

11.5 MPG?
That's terrible! (Please do not take that personally)
I thought it would be near double that
Duane and two other friends I have with recent 3500 rams are getting in and around 20, about the same as my duramax.
Must be some break-in thing. No way you could live with that...as bad as my 6.0 suburban.

I’m not worried about it. I’m sure it will get better as I drive it a bit more.
Considering I only drive 2.8 miles for work each day I don’t expect much mpg.
Lol otherwise I would have got a Tesla lol

No, bob, nothing anywhere near that here or anywhere around the Mississippi/Ohio valleys goes on.
People in government want to shut down power stations due to the progressive influence from commiefornia, but all they ever do around here is add another scrubber to our numerous coal-fired plants. We have a thousand years of the black stuff and have people with common sense running the show. Nope, all that brownout crap is a direct result of the totally incompetent leadership of the whole left coast. Other states buy our electricity daily, we have plenty and the difference between the Midwest and a place like commiefornia is enough to amount to us being complete opposites.
We do everything differently, and I am saying this just to make a point. And the point is that liberal states have abandoned logic and reason and you can see it everywhere and in just about everything they do. Aside from the weather, these liberal areas are oppressive, and I can't imagine much fun to live in.
Out there for example, criminals are arrested and then released. Here they are arrested and if they ever get out, we shoot them and dump them in the river. We don't inspect cars for emissions crap and we are not saturated with police. Here everyone carries and in the tuck, we can legally use deadly force IF WE BELIEVE we are under threat of losing our lives or serious injury. Criminals know that and don't act like criminals often.
We protect our natural resources but if a man wants to dig a pond on his property, he just rents a backhoe and digs the darned hole. No permitting, no stupid regulation, nothing. It is what it is to be really free, not controlled.
Everything in conservative-run areas is different. We can't help people living in these oppressive states and we ask that those folks please remain there and clean up their own mess, our house is in order.
Sorry for the political outburst, but I guess that the folks living in these open-air prisons called states have lost so much of their freedom and rights that they actually believe what is happening to them is going to spread all over. I fear it will spread some, but for us around here in the midwest, we may just dig in our heels and let the stupidly run parts of the country meltdown in their own cesspools that no one but themselves created.

To Dons point,
https://www.rvtravel.com/state-motorhomes-exempt-california-smog-plan/
the retards running the state have now changed their minds again and WILL require out of state registered motorhomes be checked. they are setting up mobile sniffers to verify compliance on the spot.
Now all of you say how insane this is but it gets better, starting in 2025 you will have to have your motorhome/trucks/equipment checked QUARTLY thats right every three months!
All of you ask how CA was going to to completely switch to EV cars, this is how they will make it ecumenically unfeasible to own or operate anything else.
Pay attention here as thsi will be the blueprint of how other social issues will be a reality.

You can fight them now or you can wait until they become larger, better financed, instutional and better entrenched...Because fight them you will!
This is communism and socialism all set in the beautiful landscape of the California backdrop. This is tyranny. When did any reasonable voice ever get heard? Ever?
I doubt it.
I often thought about Sergeant York of WW1 fame who held thirty-some-odd Germans at bay and held prisoner with just himself and his trusty Springfield rifle. Had the lot of them just said, "To hell with this," and launched on the poor Sergeant, history would never have recorded anything about a Sergeant York at all.
Until some people there actually stand up and draw your line in the sand, the tail is just going to keep wagging the dog.
Funny thing, about the time the socialists finish destroying all of California, a new Mexican revolution will likely take it all back for themselves.

Dave please provide feedback on the tinting thing. I am running into headwinds of very steep pricing for the ceramic tint...$950 for the T-car! Outrageous!
-
So I’m here now and the owner says she will not tint a Tesla windshield due to the electrical system and the amount of water used on windshields.
My truck total price for expel ceramic window tint all the way around is $650.

She says the cost she does a Tesla for is $650
The size of the glass on your Tesla is larger then standard vehicles so they have to order in a larger size roll. She doesn’t much like tinting them

On another note if you haven’t sat in a car with ceramic window tint I would suggest you do. Ask the shop if you can go for a drive or ride in a car with the product applied. I think you would be ok with the amount of interior comfort you get. If you can reduce the incoming heat from your car you can reduce your power usage not running the AC so hard. More mile to your charge!!
Why is my man thread turning into a sissy Tesla thread all the sudden?
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

As a testament to the quality of work. She just asked if I had time for her to redo my windshield. There was a blemish in the tint and she need to replace it. So if I could wait great if I needed to come back she would accommodate me.
So…. Round two on the front glass.
Better then letting me leave and hope I don’t see it

That's a great point!
THe new Teslas all come with a new upgraded heat pump system that (as I can testify) does not use very much juice. But judging from today's drive, not having to use the AC as much could close the gap between the miles the car is supposed to get on a charge and what it actually gets
Today, pretty hot and sunny. I left with 276 miles of charge, then drove I estimate around 50-55 miles, and when pulling into my home the cat showed 207 miles. So 275-55=220. So that's 13-18 miles difference or about a 27% difference. Some of that was using the go pedal, but some of that was running the AC and the stereo.
Ceramic tint...We're on to something...
-
OK, here's a really stupid question...
Does the tint go on the outside of the glass?
I always thought it went on the inside...
Waiting to see pics of this awesome dually...
And I called around and found that the particular tint shop I priced was like 50% more than the others. I scheduled an appointment for all the windows on my T-car to get done for $474...although he wants to tint the huge back glass only up to the factory tint line which allows him to use a standard-sized sheet and not have to buy the crazy big 60" roll to fit the crazy-big T-car glass.
-
So I’m all finished with tint and the drive home was wonderful.
I’ll add some pictures one I get it washed. But inside doesn’t feel like I’m in a black hole but everything outside is still very bright looking out. One of things I like about these ceramic tints is, To block the view from outside in you don’t have to do the 5% limo tint stuff.

Also picked up the factory GM floor Mats that I think the truck should have came with but… an argument for another day and my salesman paid for this in some fashion.

Yes it goes on the inside.
As for the tint line on the window I would thing the film will not be noticeable on the outside view. For instance around my mirror is a solid black shape you can’t see through. If the back of your Tesla is like that I would assume it’s fine.

Duraflap install is so simple
(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220909/d9c1817aaa5b198eab9e4133718d4173.jpg)
Front fenders require removal of three factory screws and installing the mudflaps. I don’t particularly like the flap sitting directly against my plastic or metal areas for debris to catch and rub. So I used a single sided sticky foam 1/8 and traced it to my flap then stuck the foam on the inside of the marks, blue tape worked well.

Back flaps required the wonderful wife to hold a bit of flaps while I marked and hand tightened some screws for alignment purposes.
The rear uses four factory holes and two that pinch their aluminum mount/clamp on the inner fender. I again applied some sticky foam and zipped the fenders on with the ol 90% drill attachment and dewalt impact

Dave, (and anyone who runs ceramic) have you noticed the inside seems like a heat sink when it sits, but repels heat once it’s cool inside? Every time I get in the 74, it seems hotter than the tacoMa ever is. Difference being 74 has ceramic all the way around tacoMa does not.
Now, once all heat is out, it stays cooler longer than the taco does. Also seems cooler closer to the window. Have always thought that was strange but it’s installed and the installer is in AZ, so no need to fuss just deal.
-
I guess it would be a simple process to check if they both sit in similar areas for similar times,
Just put a thermometer in each car and see what they show over a few hours. I can look into that with my black Jetta that’s tinted 5% and compare to my dark blue truck
Let me see about maybe a temperature recording style thermometer
Well that’s not in my cards. The ones I found were $100 and I don’t have Tesla money so…
But I can’t say I have noticed that. My work truck isn’t ever sitting except at night, and the windshield addition is new so I can’t speak to its abilities.
Id ya have time on a Sunday you could park two next to each other and check every few hours with a basic thermometer sitting on the arm wrest maybe

Bulletpoint mounting solutions today
Packaging looks good, parts all seem to be decent quality metal/steel and install instructions seem to be straight forward
(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220921/4ec4138471a5562216a79e7b639bee97.jpg)
Simply assemble in the desired configuration.
In my case I have the single bolt to remove the dash tray. Then to the work table to mark and drill four holes
(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220921/124e7cde82c2144397015ebb5d74c0ef.jpg)
I eyeballed the tray location to center, used a silver sharpie to mark the holes and used the supplied drill bits to pop through the plastic. They supply these rubber collapse-able nuts to hold the base in. Tighten down and back to the truck
(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220921/7e4fcace3f892139a042a3226e8ede17.jpg)
The rubber mat got trimmed to cover up the single nut holding the tray in, I’m not 100% sure if the four screws are in contact with the underside of the tray. But seemed to snap back in place like factory designed.
Mounted up the carbon fiber rods and adjusted to fit my line of site.
I ordered the second arm to persuade the passenger to not stare at their phone on trips. Time will tell .
The only complaint I can see going forward is the cell phone mounts don’t wirelessly charge. Looking into different mounting options from other sources or maybe the 3d printer at work to mod something
More on that another time

Not sturdy enough to walk on like I could on my fiberglass hard cover. But again this rolls up so I don’t need to walk on it.

I few months back I polished a red cumins and his bed cover rested firmly against the cab with his struts on. I assumed they all had that issue.

I wish it was a little more over the bed caps. It doesn’t utilize enough of the carrying capacity I think.
But it seemed to not flip n flop on the highway like some of the soft covers that roll up

Don, if you never use the space provided by the topper and never plan to then change to the cover of your choice. Just remember you will be the guy with the blue tarp flapping in the wind first time you need to haul something that needs to be contained and is higher than the cover that is rolled up out of the way.
Dave, nice looking addition to the truck.

Only on rare occasions do I use the added dry space...
I like the one Dave installed if it's like the one I looked like

It’s sure not much to look at as far as pictures but. A buddy from a forum not to be mentioned cut these out for me as it’s his business, made a trip to see him and hang out a few hours

We are twinners so to speak color and year and model minus my hips.
Anyway he cut out PPF film for the dreadful door seals that every person with shoes drags their feet on. Getting in and out will soon enough take the paint right off so these cover that area. No silly stainless to catch stuff behind just good old clear protection.

Had my first need to boggy moment in the truck and I’ll tell ya what. A smooth acceleration to full throttle is much faster then the ever foot to the floor right now method.
So that being said I have ordered banks Idash data monster, the pedal monster, the ram air intake system and soon to come the banks exhaust when offered for a DRW truck.

Next thing should be some reverse bulbs to a higher quality LED bulb. The gm LED package didn’t replace the reverse bulb, or the license plate to LED so I’ll fix that also

Dave, did you ceramic coat anything on this truck? Seems like that flavor of product would be your area of expertise.
We have done the glass and interior of the Model Y so far. Have the stuff to do the wheels and the rest of the body, just haven’t done it yet.

Yes, I used a less permanent coating from Meguiars
I wanted to be able to have some hydrophobic properties but still be able to polish and wax which is my preferred method of clean.

Whole vehicle or just the front facing sections?

Mostly I do the bumper , lights, mirrors, and a partial on the hood.
On the wife’s I did full front. Full hood, full fenders, front bumper lights and mirrors
In my sissy truck I did another special piece on the C pillar to protect against the buckles on my brief case/bag hitting the truck when I threw it in the back seat. Also did the rear bumper since it was painted.
Full body wraps are a waste unless you were like the guy in the shop that was having his entire Cadillac ESV-V wrapped. It was gloss black but he had a matte wrap out on it that made it matte black. It was sick!

I’d say with PPF it is worth every penny you can afford. Iv had only two vehicles with it but I’m a believer now. I dropped a large flat head tip down on my door jam Sunday. It didn’t chip, scratch, nick or anything to the PPF. If it was paint the screwdriver would have chipped the paint.
I love I can close my hood no matter how dirty the hood is. The ppf protects it !!
On board air huh? I can honestly say that as of my last trip I wasn’t even going to do airbags in this. It pulls so flipping smooth and steady, just like you said, it rides great!
Other then air bags Charles what else would I use the air for? Iv thought about retro fitting a compressor for air horns and then a air blower under the driver seat. I have found my Peterbilt floors look so much better when I blow my boots off before I get in. I think an air hose under my seat for that would be bitchen lol

Milton coupler near the rear receiver. Air tools. I carried an air over hydraulic bottle jack and an impact. When the family is sitting on the side of the road, those will make getting back on the road much easier. Also, inflating flat tires, blowing up floats at the lake, and being a hero in the RV park when someone else breaks…
You’ll never regret it. 5 gal tank fed by two 440C vi air will run everything you could ever want.
Air horns are a must for the morons that pull in front of you when you are towing heavy….

I think the tank I have sitting on the shelf is three gallon for the two viaair pumps we have on the dodge. But yea I agree with on board air for all the things. We had it on our 4runner years ago, such a wonderful add to a rig.

I guess my air tool logic stopped with the air compressor I have in the Rv. Fire up the built in generator and plug the compressor.
Iv changed a tire with it and them triangle block deals. Plenty of dirt bike tires

The LMLs are antiques compared to the new ones. So much quieter.
I had a 5 gallon tank mounted inboard of the frame under the driver, and the compressors were mounted in the hollow area in the front of the dually fenders

Got around to replacing the reverse lights and the license plate lights to LED like I paid for from GM. Some silly reason the LED light package and the high country trucks that I have seen have LED white lights in some spots but not all spots, the reverse and plate lights were not included in that group, the forward turn signals also were not included in that.

Washed the last three weeks of winter off the truck with assistance from the twins (so scary for me) keeping a watchful eye so they don’t drop a wash mit or some obscure mud speck I missed while rinsing off.
Used my new Adams garden hose foam cannon
https://adamspolishes.com/products/adam-s-new-standard-foam-gun-32oz
Found some water spots on the rear fenders with some light scratches from I assume washing. Even using two wash buckets, fresh wash mitt only used on my truck you still manage to pick up particles that scratch. That’s why paint maintenance is key.

You can see them in the overhead garage light reflection.
It still beads water really well after decontamination and washing. Happy with the products so far.
I have another trip to Idaho to get some CB stuff installed, tuned and calibrated in the DRW. Going to mount up some dash cameras as well.
When I get back from there I’ll polish, not compound but polish the paint and re seal.

The North sky blue on your truck is my favorite GM color. Darker than the Hydro-blue on my jeep and lighter than Ford's "Anti-matter blue.
My fav blue of all time is a toss-up between the B-5 Mopar blue and Lemans blue used in 66-67 on Vettes.

See now I really like the bright Atlas blue ford has a lot.
The gm 1500’s have a brighter blue option as well that I like.
I came to the options I wouldn’t do black ever again, I hate silver, I like white but they have always been white. I love red and mom hates it. So blue it was

Got back into the dash of the truck today to mount my vantrue camera the wife got me for Christmas
Vantrue N4 3 Channel 4K Dash Cam, 4K+1080P Front and Rear, 1440P+1440P Front and Inside, 1440P+1440P+1080P Three Way Triple Car Camera, IR Night Vision, 24hr Parking Mode, Capacitor, Support 256GB Max https://a.co/d/hiWUYUg
Fairly straight forward install.
Had to order a hardwire power kit and SD card as they box doesn’t come with it.
Started at the rear camera by pullin the door seals and fishing wire over he headliner down the driver side up to the rear view mirror. I coiled the excess up and tucked it above the driver head.
Then attached it to the camera
(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230115/a2ee27246365294d48624b92048ccc46.jpg)
I tried mounting it higher behind the mirror but it blocks the rotation of the mirror so lower it went. The camera has a view screen of the front, cab, and rear views so I figured I should leave it visible.
Then to power the camera system I ran the power wire down the passenger side pillar to the passenger side fuse box.
After that I went for the UsB plugs that came this week. The usb distribution block didn’t work so I went another direction
(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230115/e0e5531ef9bdf918a11413a6f1f5fd59.jpg)
I picked up two of these
[Upgraded Version] Quick Charge... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08LKRDG2T?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Popped two holes with the hole saw and ran the wires to the same location as the camera to hook up later for constant power.
I’ll hook this up after I get the CB radio buttoned up. Still waiting on rightchannelradios.com to get me the correct antenna mount for the hood and I’ll start on that mess. I want to mount my head unit under the seat, the controls are on the mic so I’ll hang the handle below the start ignition button if the wires allow. The 3’ antenna will be on the driver side of the hood close to the windshield.

There is four bends in the bracket and it appears the third bend is at the wrong angle for driver side. Passenger side the slope would match the fender line but it then leans the antenna forward not vertical or even aft. So I’m in contact with them and their vender to get it sorted out.
If they can’t sort it out I’ll be going with one of these.
ZROADZ Ditch Hood Hinge LED Mounting Bracket - Compatible w/ 2019-2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 - to Mount (2) 3 Inch LED Pod Lights - Mild Steel Gloss Black Finish - Bolt-On Installation - PN #Z362181 https://a.co/d/8UtiCZj
These are stout design and would give a good location for the antenna but not ideal to have it moving on the hood for cable routing and such. I’ll give it a try and or modify if need be

You’d get better reception and transmission if you have it in the middle of the roof as the metal surface acts as the ground plane.
And if you put a hole there it wouldn’t be so noticeable. Or get a magnetic mount.

I’ll post a few more photos when I get home and in my garage but I’m here to tell ya. The CB radio tuning stuff can be as basic or simple for some plug n play junk but in @flyinhawaiian968 style he doesn’t do it that way at all!!
Each part for the RF was cleaned and inspected, then each part was added and tuned for maximum function via the brass screw at the top of antenna.
We started by tuning each antenna

Had to drill the mount holes a little larger, then a ground screw hole as well.
Pulled each RF cable through the firewall using GM’s designed grommets, attached to the antenna and chased around in the cab. Chris made short work of all things. After a test drive Down the road we were able to talk to each other via the shop radio. Both of us seemed pleased with the results.
Then chris wouldn’t let me leave before he did at least one of the grill bars in a good n clean non wrinkle
That completes the grill now!
Then turned direction to hard wiring the USB plugs, driving cameras, and constant power to the CB radio.
The antennas have a bit of forward cant but I’m very happy with the function and the look. Using the antenna Quick connects I can pop them off real fast.
Time for bed, then head home tomorrow before it starts raining here. Can’t be havin dirty trucks!
-
This function from tapatalk to the online sucks just sayin!! How flippin cumbersome to use.!
Here are the photos that didn’t load while up in ID
Some CB radio antennas my buddy Chris helped me run. Talked to a guy from Missouri on the way home to Utah on it.
Finished the black on the grill also.

They fit into factory holes of the 20+ but there is some holes left in filled. I chose to pop a few 5/16 holes and use some of the plastic clips gm is so found of using.

Washed the truck this eve and winter has taken its toll on my water beading action from the ceramic coat. So washed and dried. I pulled the masking tape out and going to use the fine finish polish then re apply the Meguiars ceramic two step.

Why the tape Dave?
Waxes and polished don’t play well with plastics. Often times the wax will haze or leave white marks all over the plastic (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230424/3c153474866e1981940bc46a7663b652.jpg)
Point in case, not all products do it but most do

Now take for instance the 00-08 Silverado window trim. That plastic came from the factory with a mat finish. You could polish that from the mat finish to a shine similar to headlights. But for the most often times the textured plastics are rough enough to leave the residue like on that Toyota fender flare. A good pit of tooth brush n wd 40 can remove it but it’s a PIA that some simple tape helps you avoid

I was thinking you were covering the plastic, but also thought you didn't want to buff through the clear coat on the edges.
When buffing, I tape over the edges and do them by hand...
-
I haven’t burned through clear or paint in so many years, unintentionally that is.
I need to make a few phone calls about what the best product for this PPF is. The polish seems to clean it up nice but I’m not sure if or how the ceramic will react to it.

The dash camera me and Flyinhawaiian968 installed seems to continue to work great, thankfully nothing captured is worth sharing. The suction cup has fallen off the windshield twice over the duration of ownership.

The Bulletpoint dash mount has its issues in my opinion. In order to get a phone or screen to not jiggle down the road I have had to rest the arm on the dash.
In order to fix the issue I pulled the 3m tape and used small 4mm screws to bolt it to the plastic tray. It helped a squeak but not fix the jiggle on my phone.
The wireless mag charger seems to work well as far as mag strength and charge speed. It been hardwired to the power plug we put inside the upper glove box. No battery drain issues with such a small draw on the system. Extended parking hasn’t been explored yet.
Rear window still drips ever slightly but not enough I want the dealership to fuk up my interior to fix it.
Tires and icon level kit are still on my list.
Need to order the banks exhaust now that has been released for the DRW truck.
Otherwise very happy with the simple modification I have made.

Definitely not suicided by any means.
The yellow Peterbilt is not owned by me, if the chance comes to purchase I will gladly. It’s been my company truck for three years now. We replaced our End dump dirt trailer with a three axle 26ton capacity side dump trailer. Gross 88,000 pounds down the highway.
Yes the dually is getting a face lift, I “need” (want) more bumper clearance for bigger rubber and dirt road capabilities.

Oooh, I like where this may be going.
Oh and getting way out in front of this, but I will be coming down near your AO sometime in July. Doing some wheeling in the snowy range and the Tetons and camping on Freemont Lake. Then plan to blast down to the Colorado to try and run the Red Cone trail. I'll keep advised so maybe I can see you and the lifted 3500 in person.

Got the level/lift kit installed today.
40 inch to top of wheel well is now 42.75”
Nothing to complicated. Rough country does a good job with instructions for install. New arms, new shocks, 2” block in the back.
I still have room to turn the front up but not needed for tire size I’m installing. Ride is good, smooth, handles bumps well.

Yes, the width of tires need to be spaced to keep from contacting during movement. Two inches should give me plenty of gap

I haven’t updated but I had some major
Shock issues in the front end of the truck.
First off the rough country shocks are trash. Might as well just put rubber bands on. So I ordered Bilstein for the whole unit. They only have two size option +1” or +4-6” I ordered both and one was two small and would limit my down travel, the other longer left me zero up travel.
So after many of conversations I ordered fox shocks for the front only. The back shocks are the 4-6” longer and seem to have plenty of room for up and down.
Anyway I look forward to my freeway drive tonight to the shooting range with one of the twins.
