Tator that's almost cheating (the way you had your pit cleaned)

Started the metal rack build this week, no thanks to a certain redneck in Tehas.
It will reside along the wall in one of the shipping containers. 20' long by 7' tall. ... can't wait to get organized a little better.

Made a jig for the 42 arms. ...24x10" and 18x12" long.
Gonna weld the feet and possibly some shelves once in place. Getting too heavy to manhandle.

Very nice.

I need something a tad smaller around here, big for the Ridge.

Taking up little projects at the Houston home now that I’m here more

Pantry is first up. Had a typical single light fixture with two 60 watt bulbs. Took that out in favor of three 11watt shallow “no can” leds

Next up caulk the MDF shelves I built and added to the existing shelves 9 years ago and get ready for primer and paint.

did you get lucky and have an open floor joist span that you could run the wire, or did you have to drill a few holes and run the fishing tape/pole?

The house is built with trusses on the first floor so its been really easy to run stuff.  I pulled recessed cans and ran 1200 ft of cat6 cable all throughout the first floor years ago.

Took the Freightliner in to get a head gasket. Zane had a basketball ball tournament. Won one game lost 2. Second was a nail biter. Lost by 1 point. Today we're supposed to see the grandbabies bit there was a fair amount of ice on the roads last night. Might just stay home.

I had to do some re-arranging of the food stores area along with the equipment storage area.

All thats left of the storage room is the area for the gun safe and ammo storage.

I just set my jars on the shelf in the open. In a situation where we may need to leave in a hurry that is not ideal.

they are called jarbox.  it has a top and bottom, they are available in both pint and quart options, they provide a little space between each jar so they dont break when clanked together or for those that dont like to use the bands (why? i dont know?) they also provide protection from the lid getting jammed and becoming unsealed, they also allow you to stack several sets on top of each other and retain structural rigidity so they dont collapse.  those things are awesome and truly do work and provide protection, i have moved filled jars from hell paso to WA to lincoln in a trailer with absolutely no breakage.  they also work great when carrying them from storage to processing area and back as well as provide blockage from uv rays that can cause spoilage.

good luck finding any right now, as with any thing canning related they are sold out everywhere and the ones that do have them are trying to price gouge them for 5-6 times the original cost.  when in stock at walmart, the pint cases are like $10 and the quart are like $12.

I dont store mine with the rings on because Ive always been taught not to.  Eaiser to tell if there are any broken seals. Mother in law stores hers with rings on. Drives me nuts. I go through and loosen them. When we take a bunch on an trip then I put rings back on so the lids dont get knocked off in transport.

Not sure how much jon got, but i had a significant amount at my place.  Start to finish was 1 hour, and the only casuality was 1 sidewalk light (my machine ate that right up and spat it out with out a hiccup).

Looks like a solid 12 inches of snow!!! We haven’t seen snow enough here to even justify putting fuel into my big snow machine.     I really do miss the snow.

Yes, snow is so nice. Everything looks so fresh and clean after a good snowstorm. Only request I have is it Stays above 3,000 feet. If you like to play in it you can drive up and enjoy. Me, I try to avoid it as much as possible except during hunting season.

What a blessed day it is.

I am finally free of John Deere

Sort of like a bad divorce that is finally over, but no more Flippin' rusty green paint splashed over a Mahindra built tractor with a 100% upcharge and like zero reliability unit leaking oil or sitting stranded somewhere with my name on it.

I got rid of that JDJ (John Deere Junk).

All I have left is a grapple which is a titan piece which is currently painted green. Once I paint that, just like that the nightmare will be over.

Replacing it is a cab Kioti RX7320, MFWD 73 horse tractor. Darned thing was over $20K less than the 75 horse JD tractor (Which is built by Mahindra) and carries a 6-year factory warranty.

It won't be delivered for a couple weeks, but it will be a welcomed addition to my growing farm.

Those little Deere tractors are made overseas. We had a 6150 for a while. Complete garbage. Traded it off on my 9510 4 wheel drive.

Nice unit Don. Is that about what you had before, size wise?

Jon, is that blower specifically made for blowing out troughs? Never seen one before.

Finished the metal rack today. Bolted to the wall and floor. Decided to add a shelf for smaller pieces. I typically don't throw away any metal, no matter what size.

No DEF, but does have a catalytic. Not Yanmar, Kioti makes their own engines, own gearboxes, own frames, and so forth. They build all the Bradco stuff, and have even built Caterpillar excavators

No before I had a 66HP compact utility that wasn't so compact. This is a large frame tractor which weighs over 7K. Its a whole bunch larger which is needed to pull heavy stuff

I was the armor for that range and that was 1 of my 2 guns.

We were forced to put roughly 9-10k rounds thru 1 gun and 2 barrels.  Every 2 hundres rounds the barrels were changed and the hot ones thrown directly in the snow banks......i also had 4 other deadlined guns to rob parts from when needed.

Funny thing was that when all said and done, i only had to swap 1 round stop and both barrels still gauged perfectly with no deformations....(they may have been bright orange at time...lol).

Ken, looks good.  I put expanded metal to hold the small stuff  on the lower middle of the  A frame rack I built

Nate, gotta love not having to foot the ammo bill for that!

Don, I was amazed at how quiet the new ones were with the DPF on it.

I've only started it once, when shopping it, but it was very quiet and also powerful sounding. They have to add some things like additional hydraulic circuits and get that 10 foot bush hog before delivering it, but I certainly will put the thing to use.

I plan to install a radio, it's already prewired and has speakers. I want to download James Earl Ray's reading of the bible and listen to that while I cruise in that suspension seat with the heat or AC on!

Welp. Beauty of a sunset today.

Conveniently still working from home. Err a la cassa.

And wouldn’t be this year without water.

12-14” down to the ice. The whole lake is a mess of slush water and snow.

I just don't want to wind up missing a digit or limb.  I can sometimes get in a hurry to get results.

Kids today don't know how easy they have it. When I was young, I had to walk 9 feet through shag carpet to change the TV channel.
