Kubota MX6000
« on: October 01, 2021, 10:37:11 PM »
Well, I seem to be buying and trading tractors with the same frequency I change out my socks!

I will be selling the Kioti RX7320 and purchasing a medium 63HP tractor from Kubota.

With the tracked SVL-97 doing all the heavy lifting, I have no use for a big tractor. I purchased the full sized tractor to pull that 10 foot bush hog, but that cutter has failed miserable. Both times I used it under normal conditions, the cutter has broken apart. After a second warranty repair in only 4 hours of use, I will not attach it to a tractor again, but will sell it in its repaired condition. That cutter can only run on flat ground. Any tilting at all causes one of the heads to auger in and that destroys the drivetrain.

Either the clutch does not slip or the drive shafting is just too weak, but the bottom line is the cutter is unusable. Couple that with the fact that the tracked machine with its severe duty front cutter does a great job of cutting grass, the big tractor was ot used this year. I only have 7 hours on it!

Therefore, I am canning it and purchasing a medium frame hydrostat tractor, a Kubota MX 6000

This is the actual tractor I am buying, but they have to remove the Ag tires and replace with R4 industrial tread tires.

I like this model because it has everything you need, and nothing you don't

It's just a simple machine and is also cost effective. With the market being as crazy as it is, I am able to sell my almost new Kioti tractor for what I paid for it. It has undergone three price increases so I can ask retail and break even while saving the buyer nearly $4,000!

This new Kubota is priced up, but the dealer is letting me have it at a great price.

Nothing fancy, but the loader still comes off easily

Simple seat, rubber flat floor, no top.

This one will live in the barn so hopefully fading will not be an issue

Simple dash. It doesn't have a 4WD engaged light which I wish it did have, and no bucket level indicator, but i can add one for a C note

Not purchasing any implements, so that cultivator will go away and get replaced with a quick-tatch 3 point. It is set up for both category 1 and 2. I'll just use cat 1

What purpose does this tractor serve? It would appear you could just buy more attachments for the skid loader and be money and maintenance costs over time ahead.

I’d keep the tiller. My buddy has that tractor. Mysteriously the emissions fell off and it runs better and sounds like a tractor now

Big D, why change out the ag tires to R4?      does it have any rear hydraulic outlets?  How about 3rd function valve for the loader?

Nice choice and I understand why. Everyone has covered my thoughts on fluid change parts.

Get a nice LED bar light for the ROPES and keep the tires.

Can't keep the tires my friend. I plan to dual purpose the machine. 90% farm use/10% carrying and spreading decorative stone and mulch on my expensive lawn at the castle. Ag tires N' turn: No bueno!

Tractor purchase process is moving forward.

Wheels set to next-to-widest position and stripped of tires. Awaiting arrival of R4's

Third function valve on order, not yet arrived

We wait...

So, went over to check on the progress on the new MX6000

Its only missing a bucket leveling indicator and I'll have it

The new R4 tires just look right on this machine

Since I want to do a lot of fork lift type work, that stable front end with the big tires will make that chore much easier

This is a "Chores" tractor and will not spend a great percentage of its hours doing any one particular task, but be changing it up carrying this or that, spreading gravel, tilling a garden or lifting timbers up to the second floor

Oh, and I just sold the Kioti for more than a thousand above what I paid for it!

I expect to lose a grand on the ten foot cutter so at the end of the day, that wasted experiment will be a wash

Third function add on looks, well, functional.

Black button turns it on and the two red buttons open and close the grapple, for example

Front attachment point looks sturdy

And the added hydraulics actually added some protection to the right side and that Hyd filter.

I think I may build a skid plate/guard for it, because as sure as I am sitting here, I will try to rip that thing off!

Surprised the level indicator isn't stock, much less waiting on it, just a rod and loop/tube.

Those tires don't look much better then the others, still have huge lugs. Thought you were going to a turf style?

Does it us DEFF like the 95? Pretty thing otherwise.

Isn’t the level indicator the top of that bucket sitting parallel with the ground?

For a lot of people it is, but a rod running through a loop with a bend right at level is my preferred method.
It's like $75, so no big add

Unfortunately, yes it has DEF

In the not too distant future, a fortune teller told me DEF systems were going to simply fall off...Due to low quality bolts from China.

A pity really, but should it happen to me, I'll gather the strength to accept the things which I cannot change and move on

I like the level rod too, you really can't see the bottom of the bucket.

I've been hearing DEFF is killing bee's. Another reason, good for the environment. Didn't the DEFF tank leak kill the 95 some time back?

Exactly!
Want to download that water heater from the truck? Just pull the loader up to the tailgate, slide the heater into the padded bucket and you're off to the races.
This time of year, I use it to shuttle firewood, clear snow off the driveway and lift heavy things. In the spring it is a mulch shuttle and I think I am getting into a no-notice gravel apron for my concrete driveway as people run muddy ruts into my lawn starting about now. A single-family visit like thanksgiving will rut the lawn for months until late spring.
