I think she’s heading it up!
Don, what is your tentative timeline? Say we all meet up in Afton, Wy? With that stated if you’re coming from South or East we could start at my shop in Dacono, CO prior to heading to WY. I have a secured facility with showers and restrooms anyone could use to camp the night before heading to WY if you wanted or there are plenty of Hotels local as well if you wanted a break before hitting the trail for a few days. We could even start the trail in Colorado and head North if that works better?
How long you thinking of going? A week? Do they have camping sites or is it a free for all?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I could just dash out somewhere, then go from there. I had planned going northwest toward rushmore then to jellystone, then over to near Pinedale. All of that is north of you, so a route change may be in order. I can do that too

Why is there 2 of these threads....
OK, so I stumbled across this today and I'm stoked. With all the wutang flu crap and social distancing I'm already looking for things that we may be able to do this summer. The trail starts 100 miles south of Yellowstone in Afton, WY and is a combination of public roads and back country roads with pavement and w/o. It does not cross private land or locked gates. Any interest? Don? Might make a great addition to the west trip with the boys? Baylee in her tj and I'm in with the JKU. May be able to entice the wife in her 4runner (it would need some quick upgrades though). Thinking this summer, no set dates yet.transamtrail.com
Let’s do it!!!!!!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Think the LB7 would make it?Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Yup grizzly locker rear. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
unless a long wheel base vehicle is a huge issue I’d think you’ll be just fine.
Yeah. I’d high center on a turtleSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have quite a bit of recovery gear FYI.....Think I’m going to message him and get some info on the trail start from WY and any additional limitations etc on vehicles though.
How long is this trail?Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

My thought was to start south of Yellowstone and head south back to CO, however it could be done other ways obviously but I was thinking like a week of driving and camping under the stars.

So, Shawn, I just created a whole new section, Adventure!Guess who owns it?Put this together in there. You take lead, don't screw it up!;-)
I could catch the trail in the panhandle of a Texas and work my way up to Shawn. I did see on the site there were a bunch of rovers so I’m guessing my LB7 would be fine but I’d love to get a KTM do do thisSent from my iPad using Tapatalk

This looks like a fun trip. Wish I had the leave built up (and rig ready) to attend. I'm definitely going to add this to my future plans folder!
This does sound fun. I need to get the 74 anyways, maybe son and I can come get it and join the run.
Thanks Shawn! So what will later on in early to mid summer look like should we see an easing on travel restrictions?`
Maybe you could drop that file on here for group members to download. What was the cost? I'd be happy to share in that expense
I do think we are going to try to make it so we can also use the trip to take care of some of our stuff that was just tossed in the storage with the truck.
