Started looking for a nice hot rod for my garage. Found a 1934 Chevy Sedan Delivery back in CT. and am trying to get it home while I am not there. It has about 1400 miles on it, Outlaw body, Fat Man frame. It is registered as a 34 not as a kit, appears to be nicely done from photos, will know more once I see it. zz350 crate engine 700r4 and corvette rear. Power everything black with light blue accents and frame.

A couple more photos.

NICE!!!

Nice looking, what’s with the air cleaner?

I don't know but something has to change unless the photo is skewed.

:likebutton: Agreed, it looks like he robbed a piece off his wife’s sweeper…..

Very cool ride Bob. Hope you get it home in one piece

Looks like an old school "cold air/ram air" type thing, but yeah. looks like the shell of a roomba that's painted like a mermaid. my wife would love it,

Hired an inspection place to check the thing out for problems and overall condition. I probably should go back there myself but not with all the hassle flying and I don't do airplanes all that well anyway.

I think the air cleaner is off of a Caddy or Lincoln. It was stock back in the '50s I think. That one is clocked a little funny, though. Beautiful car! Hope the inspection report matches the photos!

might be a fun, albeit uncomfortable road trip to fly out and drive it back?

very nice

Wow! Nice car Bob.
Someone spent some coin on that build.
Pretty sure that's a retro copy (smaller) of a caddy air cleaner. My boss called them batwings iirc.

Well for whatever the reasons The inspector has put off the appointment 3 times now. Sure hope the seller doesn't get fed up with changing appointments and just sells the car to someone else. Did CT. get snow yesterday or early this morning the inspector thinks they did and he didn't want to drive in it. I thought the hassle would be getting it titled not inspected.

Well the car is now in Bullhead City AZ. Looking at the sales info that came with the car, that air cleaner is a repo of a Caddy cleaner. Once it sits straight with the engine it doesn't look all that bad. The one thing I have found I don't like is the gas tank filler pipe is inside the rear door. Must be careful not to spill gas or the car will stink from the fumes. It is a tight fit while driving the thing, not sure I really want to drive it back to WA this spring. Might be better to park it and bring down a trailer to get it home. It sits so low I need to cut some ramps to get over the gutter line to get up the driveway into the garage. Need to free up all the remote door poppers with teflon spray. Having to roll down the windows and use the inside handle to open the doors got old quick.

I called Outlaw rods yesterday and found out the builder ordered the chassis with 2 1/2 inch dropped spindles. Explains why there is very little ground clearance at the front of the car.
-
Plan on changing it to standard ride height?

I tried to adjust the coilovers but no luck. Plan now is to get the thing up home and redo with standard spindles.
