Yeah, replaced the blend door actuator on our Acadia too. Two motors on pass side (blend and pass temp) then one on driver side for the temp. Screws are T20 (I believe) torx. And get ready to be a contortionist getting them out/in. Best to drop the glovebox out to give you some extra room to work.

So which side do I replace?   The AC on, the passenger side blows cold as ice, driver side blows hot.

Sounds like driver side is stuck on heat. They all have a white part that is visible, you should be able to see it move when you adjust the setting. I’d verify it doesn’t move before yanking out the wrong one.

Well after my yoga session I replaced the driver side on mommas travers, the passenger sides all seemed to have double the amount of movement as the driver so I figured replace that one.  All the more gooder as that’s the easy one to get to ( if you call that easy laying on your back tucked under a dash with a flashlight in your mouth)

Ac blows as desired.   Momma is once again happy

Who is my fellow Chevy traverse Arcadia person here ? Vent actuator problems?

In my wifes traverse we had to turn the temp dial back and forth a few times. Then the blend door would finally close.

Thanks for the prayers today fellas.

Knee surgery went well I think.  Resting and icing it for 48 hours and then just no strenuous activity for 4 weeks, then back to to some light weights and maybe a bit of jogging

I’m starving.  Seems that anesthesia makes me hungry.  Gonna make it a cheat day and eat some tacos with tortillas....

Take care of the knee Charles.

I’m currently sitting waiting on a train.
I have a buddies skidoo from up North to return to him.
Long story longer it didn’t get pulled off in Churchill like it was supposed to.
Now it’s going back again.

I have a brandly spanker coming south on the return.
Got tired of my old stuff being old...

Nate. The million dollar hound is great. As far as her knees go.
And her hips...they’re good too.
We have a nine year old puppy.

But

She has a lump intefering with the poop chute.
I’m not entertaing many options now. It’s not painful, it’s not affecting anything other than a poop.
So she’s on a light laxative to make it easy and prednisone to try and curb the lump and all is well.

Dog is good.
Mama not happy with my stand but does get he hound is nine...

Me and wanting a dang brown lab...
Wouldn’t have it any other way, but mutts it will be after she goes.
I just don't want to wind up missing a digit or limb.  I can sometimes get in a hurry to get results.

Lol Ken. I was up at 02:00 this morning for no good reason. Took a nap 06:00-06:30 and kept working. Left the house for 4 hours for a face to face meeting and now back with ice packs and another Vicodin. Let the impaired communications begin

You'll be OK Tex, just don't push it, but don't lay around to much either.

Doing the last of the DR on moms house. 2' of a 16' beam was rotted out and no real good way to scarf it out as it over hung, so I did the whole beam. Was under $40. Old beam was redwood and only held in finish screws. A few 2x4 to hold it up and came out easy when cut to 48" pieces. Primed with Kiltz and when finish paint when installed.

Other spot was bad too and had been half arsed repaired before. Tar paper was cut though as well as the ply under it. If it would stop raining it would great.

Hopefully none. No state or fed inheritance unless it is like 5mil or so, plus it was an estate and I have letter saying it is tax exempt. There was an annuity but it shouldn't be an issue until next year since everything was issued this year.

JR I meant the property taxes on the house. IIRC there is a law in CA that property taxes can’t go up until the property changes hands? So depending on how long she was there the buyers could face a bigger property tax bill?

Still hauling rock out of South Dakota. Try to get as much as I can before they flood up there and can't get there.
Last weekend we made a overnight trip up to south Eastern Minnesota. I bought some boxes to put on my Toter truck. Found the jolly green giant and a museum.

Purchased a rear Dana 80 axle today minus axle shafts for $50, internally it had issues at some point. Not sure exactly what happened but looks as if pinion backed into carrier. Everything spin free and even with shafts removes the hubs we’re covered in grease still at spindle ends. Not sure exactly what I’m going to do with this but first order of business would be to strip it down and inspect.

On another note same guy had a set of 406 mog axles (drum brake version) he is wanting to get rid of and thinking I may pick them up shortly. He also owns a mog with 404’s under it and several EB’s

Yes, however different model years have different versions of unimog axles.

Apparently this guy was stationed in the air force in Germany at some point. He purchased the unimog with 404’s and the extra set of 406’s and had them both shipped back to Colorado.

Have a question for the group...I have been looking for a 4.3L ZR2 S10 but everything up in MN is a rusted out mess.

What are your thoughts on the 4.3L engine itself and is there anything specific I should be cautious of for a high miler? Over 150K.

There is this one in Phx area that looks like it is in good shape but it is a long way's away to pack back home.
https://phoenix.craigslist.org/cph/cto/6837494182.html

There is also a Jeep Wrangler that has a 4.3L in swapped in it up here that he said is rust free and spent most of it's life behind an TV down south but he wants $7800.00 for it. Seems high for a 1998 Jeep.

Thanks

The guy seems legit with a brief email back and forth. He bought a brand new Colorado in the same color which is why he is selling this one. I would probably fly one way and check it out and if good pay him and drive it back. If no go just fly back. Not sure about driving a 171K vehicle back 25 hours but... we will see. Was also looking in Denver because I have High School buddy there but they all seem beat up even though they aren't all rusted out. I would drive there and trailer it back.

I kind of like the Jeep here local with the 4.3 but a little too pricey for a fun driver. Not in huge rush.. Wife would probably just want a new ARMADA for $60K. Ugh..

Clean looking truck for the age. 4.3 is rock solid, same as a 350. I wouldn't worry about the engine, but everything bolted to it will be a time bomb . You can see the a/c compressor is original, which is odd for an Hr6.. they seem to leak from the factory (exaggerating).
Also, spider injection usually fails before 171k. .. radiator, normal stuff.
Probably wouldn't recommend driving any unknown car with that mileage, that far, but I'm also super paranoid about breaking down in BFE.
 Nice little trucks imho.

Waiting for train crew.
New sled day today.
Long story but I bit the bullet when I was up north.
Will put pics up later.

To call it a sketchy unload would be an understatement. Had to winch the pallet of salt out of the way.
As I’m backing onto the plywood over my ramps, one ramp falls out. Couldn’t get back on and just sent it. All worked out. Test run this weekend.

I'm with you on the BFE breakdown. Well it looks like this one is a scratch anyway. The seller replied back that when he purchased the truck it was from MN and does have some rusting issues that are normal up here. So I will pass on it.

I will still be looking at the Jeep with 4.3L locally here to see what that swap looks like.

Sorry for the false alarm.  :knucklehead:

Sold the DMax in MN and am currently vehicle less.

A tad I’d agree.
I had literally started building one before I left to go north.
I was on my desk ready to spring order when I got back.

I’m about 4K maybe more ahead of what the 20 would have been.

Just a lucky find for me. This model only spring order. So someone didn’t pick it up at the start of winter.

So it was  :beercheers: for me!

It was on the books for next year, a bit of a pita for this but heck it’s only money...

It is a 2019 Ski Doo Expedition SE with the 900 ACE four stroke.
