Me time

This is my favorite part of camping. Up before the others, building a fire, watching the sun come up and drinking coffee. It's a great time to reflect.
Reflect on my failures. Reflect on my accomplishments. As a husband, as a father, and as a Christian.
I know that I fail daily and I am comforted by the thought of Christ's sacrifice for me specifically. And that because if His love I am perfect in the eyes of the Father.
Am however reminder that I am to "keep his commandments" and that every day sanctification is a progress
And at the end of my first cup of coffee. I am indeed thankful.
Have a great day Real Men

Nice way to start a day! Enjoy your solitude and sharing the rest of the day with your family!

I am late to see this but I share that love of that time of the morning when things are quiet. Being alone with your thoughts is good for the soul.

Good way to end the day too. Usually sitting with the wife talking about stuff. Good for a healthy marriage. 25 and counting.

Agreed. Also, fishing on a glass smooth lake before sunup, just me and the boy, right before they start hitting. Best reflection moments and conversations ever. The night time campfire with the wife after the kids are asleep is a 10-4 also. 13 years this September since I met her. Thanks for sharing.

Leaving tomorrow morning with my son to whiter (snow 4 u flatlanders) pastures at 10,000ft! Camping is a great way to meditate with God. Just His beauty for distractions. Keep those kids visiting those woods, they will remember it when they are as old as.....as...well DON!! ;)
Thanks for the post Neck!
