I was thinking about Charles and myself when reading the article. Lol

I, too, am an "old man who longs for the good old days when men were men and there weren't any of these other fake genders." I also like the capability to assault 15 people at once. I'm also starting go a little blind, but don't worry, in accordance with CDC guidelines, my shotgun always wears a mask when indoors!

I just keep mine 6 feet away from others. I can hit from there.
-
Good to see you folks are maintaining safe guidelines and standards ;-0

Long as its not a wheel gun I am happy.
Real Men don't need to compensate and most are decent shots :beercheers:

I’d like to meet the guy who can shoot a wheel gun double action accurately in a combat scenario

Not claiming I can Charles as that’s just silly. However, I carried a 38+p j frame smith for years in the steel shop and no one ever had a clue it was on me. So sometimes it’s better to have something than nothing.

Isn't that the whole idea? Hopefully you never need it, but no replacement for it if you do.

Oh I have some wheel guns and I like them but I usually pull the hammer and shoot them single action, e.g. snake shot.
I’m sure up close, minute of scumbag applies, but if you remember the police combat shooting competition in Magnum Force with Eastwood, when he and David Soul shot wheel guns double action , I just find that awfully impressive. Especially the shots to the face instead of center mass and the intentional miss where he parks one in the door frame to retrieve later. imagine it’s a lot like shooting that Sig 229DAK with the looooong 6.5lb trigger. Start off to the right of the target and as the pistol milks over to the left from the big squeeze , then you time the break to the sights coming on target.

Hmmm. Maybe I’ll pull out the S&W 357 and practice on some steel. I just never plan on being more than 10ft from something I have to shoot with a wheel gun in self defense.
Although, I have been on the lookout for a S&W500 with 4 inch barrel for the next time I’m in WY bear country.
