I then added 20 psi to the bags to test for leaks overnight.

That raised the rear end a bit more.

Obviously, the back end will settle down with 4,000 lbs. in the bed, but I can say, I am pleased with the results.

I did not get any pics, but I added a 1" spacer beneath the airbags. I then used bolts that were over 1" too long. After threading them through the spacer and mounting them into the bottom of the bags, they protrude downward. The idea here is to allow the suspension more flex if I ever extend it in more severe terrain. The Carli shocks will allow for more droop so these bag extensions will accommodate that should it ever happen.

Here are the finished Carli install shots:

Here in Oklahoma $3.49 for premium 100% gas. I just paid $3.22 for diesel

Put up the ceiling joists today in the low bay side. Low bay being around 11’4” in height. Need to do some exterior wall framing yet to be able to keep the eventual blown in insulation up there in place but ceiling framing is 80% done at the moment I figure

Here's a before and after showing the additional height with zero air pressure.

Before looks like 43 1/4"

After is 44 3/4"

Some of that is just the fact that the suspension has not settled from being unloaded on jack stands for two days. but I easily picked up an inch +.

DIC is dead on so far at 17.9 MPG and used 19 gal. Calced out to the same, close enough for me.

Local gas is $5-6, but have seen high 6s. What are you guys paying?

I finished up the rear suspension and repaired the leaky airbag fittings (I think...)

I pulled the air bags off and tossed the factory supplied cheapo swivel fittings in favor of the brass ones the local truck repair shop gave me yesterday

Yeah, it’s big tube.
2 x 10” so clearing a few inches was easy.
I wish it was even lower., but sainting was important.

Yep, you need a permit to cut down a tree in the city normally, not to trim. I still have some touch up to do but solar production is up almost 5k today and yesterday.

Dang Sam, maybe better springs vs trimming the frame?
JR, the springs are good for 7k or better. The issue was about 2” of travel before frame slap.
If I drive normal speeds on normal roads likely would never be an issue.
Ive spent too much now on axles and tires to not do the mod.
The good news was I got new brakes out of it and they all work again.

Now did you do a full removal of that tree or just clean it up?
Glad it’s working for your solar.
.
That looks like very deep frame rails anyway. And you kept the loading height the same
