So if there is a plus side to this on the travel side I had to fly commercial I have never seen the airports so empty Zero wait I mean nothing at TSA and planes with 10 people.

Last few weeks I have been spoiled and I really miss the Gulfstream life.

Also been able to test out a bunch of cars/trucks/jeeps that normally would not be available for rent, I had all of these for well over a week and all of them min 400mi driving.

1.  Jeep Wrangler all trims except the Rubicon, all had the 2.0 8sp which did ok and Mpg was 28 no real complaints nice package
2.  F150 4x4 quad cab 5.0ltr good power 10speed 25mpg at 75mph
3.  Toyota Tacoma 4x4 ORD, buy far the worst just bad at everything.
4.  Chevy Colorado 4x4 good power, pretty good off-road.
5.  Camaro SS lt1 very good power fantastic transmission, decent suspension, marginal brakes MPG yea right.

I drove a Tacoma back in Indiana in Dec when I went back for Dads funeral. I thought it was nice, granted I’m used to the wife’s heavy as chit 4Runner limited with same drivetrain so take it for what it’s worth. I will say there is no comparison to the f150 though w/ that coyote. Buddy of mine has one and if I bought another f150 that’s what I would buy.

I’m interested in the bad of taco as well... seeings how that’s the only vehicle we have. It’s been good to us for all things I think.. of course a little under powered for towing, but that’s some what to be expected in a small truck I think. Unless you have one of the small diesels.

Must have been 19. When I was looking. At my Denali with the 6.2 there wasn’t a v8 option in the f150. I might have considered one. Or maybe it was that they all had the engine cut off at sto light crap. I can’t remember which is was that made me stop looking at Fmjord

The Tokyo was just not good at anything, gas hog, poor handling, I know people love them but I would never get one as IMO it’s trying to be like a full size truck in a small package and it didn’t do any of that good.  When I’m in Boca I have a 4wd “test track” and it almost got stuck and everything else went right thru.  I guess the lack of power and poor suspension terrible brakes just turned me off.

Seems they are focused on gadgets inside more then how it performed in real world.

But again IMO it’s how the japs have always done things it’s hard to break driveline parts if you don’t make any power.

That's why I always recommend a 4 banger to folks wanting to get into off road driving/rock crawling. Not enough power to break stuff, plenty of gearing to learn how to drive it, which equals more enjoyment and less wrenching on the trail. Then, once they now how to DRIVE, they can upgrade to more power and learn how to jury-rig repairs on the trail. LOL!

Interesting! While I cannot deny them
Being under powered, I have seen Tacomas, 4runners, and the old solid axle pickups in places they absolutely should not be. But they make it through.

Not really sure of the reason, but the people I know who use them have never had too much trouble.

Being our truck is new-ish, we haven’t beaten it like we did our 02 4runner, but it has taken us every where I’ve ever asked it.

Did your test rig have the locker? Which is of course neutered by Toyota to only be usable in 4low....

Also, I guess I’m the unlucky one, as I have broken lots of things on Toyota’s, to include a D60 axle shaft under an fj40.

And another thing, I can not deny the lack luster mileage, we basically are only ever getting 19-21....11 when we pulled a camp trailer across the country.
