Shucks!! I forgot all about that.  It made putting up the shelve easier because I could find the studs. I will finish the shop side but not this side. Ta da. Took too long and I'm tuckered out. Working on the garage shelves again today. It's suppose to be in the 30's so balmy. Would like to get the container emptied and stuff in the shelves. Toss or sell off the other stuff like kids bikes we haven't rode in 5 years.    Used my new little toy to keep everything nice and level. Stabila LAX400. Really like that it is self leveling. I do need a commercial tripod though. I bought an adapter and used a camera tripod which worked but wouldn't outside in rough terrain.  Oh and also took my little kerosene heater apart. Cleaned and put new wick in it. Burn nice a clean now. Was only burning 1/4 of the wick before.  Now just need to get the wife and kid to help unload the container. Stupid cold this morning. My garage was 40'... So it started fine. Yesterday after work it wouldn't remote start so now I have a check engine light on and I had low tire pressure warning last night. Then this morning driving in my windshield washers decide to go off all by themselves. 5 or 6 times in a row before they finally stopped! Driving looking through a hole in the smudge while it evaporates away. It happened one time before like that when it was really cold. We will see if it starts tonight and if the check engine light goes away. I think it will after you start and stop it several times. Computers! Grrrr.

Sounds yummy. I am trying to figure out what to eat as a treat on Thursday this week. I go in for a follow up PET scan and they will pump me full of glucose and take me out of Ketosis. So I'm thinking a big plate of Mexican food with Chips and salsa. Then a Flan (sp?). But I still have time to decide. LOL

Back in the '80's when I lived in Colorado we used to go 4 wheelin almost every weekend. This particular weekend we 4 wheeled up to James Peak and then hiked down to James peak lake to fish.
I started to get late in the afternoon so we were just about to hike back out to our trucks and we heard what we thought was a rock slide coming down the opposite canyon side. We turned around to look and we saw a pickup truck rolling down the canyon wall flipping people out like rag dolls. Holy cow! The truck rolled until it ended up in the bottom with three people laying up on the slope.
The elevation where they started their roll was around 12,000 feet. The truck ended up at around 10,800 feet. They were about half of that spread out over several hundred feet. The lake we were fishing at was around 11250 feet.
We started to hike up to them which took about 30 minutes. There were three of us so we each took a person to check out. Mine was a male and you could tell he broke his femur and and had a gash in his back. So you can imagine he was squealing up a storm. The slope was very steep and he kept sliding putting pressure on the break. The other male didn't seem to have any broken bones but was unconscious. He also had most of his right ear missing and was bleeding pretty bad. He finally woke up and just laid there moaning. The female looked the worse. She was unconscious and and blue in the face. Scared the hell out of my buddy when he was looking close at her and she suddenly woke up, gasped for air and sat straight up. Then basically passed back out. I manipulated my guy off of his face and belly and sat him in an indentation that the truck had scooped out and supported his leg as best I could to take pressure off of the break.
My guy was the most awake of the three and keep asking to find their bags of POT and hide it! He said you can keep it just don't let the sheriff find it. LOL That was the least of my worries.
This before cell phones (which probably wouldn't have service anyway). We finally got someone at the top of the ridge to CB radio a distress call. It was relayed to other CB'rs down the valley and after about 2 hours we saw a Mountain Rescue team show up on the ridge above us. Tehy came down with some backboards and told us they helicopter out of Denver couldn't reach the top and would need to land in the valley. By now there were around 12 people on site so we packed the three on boards and carried them down into the valley. It snowed off and on while waiting for rescue and I had given my down jacket to my guy. So I was freezing until we packed them down. It was dark by the time the two Helicopters took off with them. No one grabbed my fishing equipment or vest up by the crash site so I had to hike all the way back up there and then back down and up the other side to get to our trucks.
It was solid dark by then. Quiet the deal for a couple of youngsters. I kept an eye out in the news to see if the gal made it or not but didn't here any news at all. I guess just run of the mill.
Here is a pic of the area and also where the truck started and ended. I looked all over Google Earth to see if I could spot the truck but wasn't able to. I highly doubt they were able to remove it unless they got a Chinook or something.
Beautiful country. I miss it.

Well, wife and I started furniture shopping for new house. Expensive endeavor to say the least. Some items were a 12 week lead time so we ordered a few things today.
Not sure if you are looking for New New... but we were looking for a nice leather set for our living room and ran across these people. This is the set we purchased. I did search Denver and slim pickins so maybe not an option there unless you contact the companies directly.

But Jon... I signed up with CRKT and they gave a 20% off code for my first purchase.. so it was only $180.00.. cough.. So yeah.. more of a like to have than a need it.. LOL I have been carrying it and because I am left handed it is different to pull and deploy. My left index finger has to go into the hole and then rotate it into my palm as I pull it out. With all of the arms it has that rotate to extend the blade they tend to snag on my pocket edge so it isn't a smooth pull like a normal knife with smooth scales. We will see.
JR I'm with you on the flashlights... I like Olight. I signed up for their notifications and they have some pretty good FLASH sales that only last a day or a few hours where you can get 40% off. I like the Olight magnetic charging option. Just a USB and snap to light and you can charge. You don't have to plug in a tiny micro USB or take the battery out to charge. Very bright for small packages.

And oh, by the way, this is the single pesky bolt that caused me to remove the engine from the chassis. Like many of you suggested, it just made too much sense not to!
Don, Could you replace the pesky bolt for a 2 or 3" stud or cobblefabricate a longer bolt to make it easier on the next guy that need to reach it and still have clearance?

I’m also using the ubiquity POE switches to power everything.
I also have the dongle that you plug into the network and then you can manage, upgrade and modify your settings from anywhere.
As soon as I upgrade the OS on the rack computer I built I will run Remote Desktop and be able to access files and manage the whole system from anywhere.

I have been spending money like a drunk sailor so why not knee jerk buy something that I have no training in using. Well because it looked cool and had a very unique mechanism that's why. I was on the waiting list to purchase the CRKT Provoke and when I got the alert to purchase I tried via the online website and it crashed. So I called Customer Service and asked about it and they said their website was overwhelmed. So I guess I have plenty of company in the knee jerk department. I haven't used it much but did carry it for a few days when I was wearing jeans. Was a little stiff at first but after working it a little it deploys pretty quick... other than the hanging up on my pocket seam. Not sure why except maybe because I am left handed and it is in my left pocket. We will see. pretty heavy. Hmmm wonder if these pictures will be all rotated off??

A week or so ago I sold my old Craftsman 3hp large table saw. It was always in the way and I didin't use it very often. I got $300 for it so I was happy.
Then I purchases this Milwaukee cordless table saw with extra battery. They are some big honking batteries. I would watch them on a driver. I unboxed the stand and saw and put them together. I thought I was going to have to pull out an Ikea manual to put the stand together.... geez.. sometimes I am amazed at my inability to conceptualize a piece put together.
Anyway.. very nice saw. Love the fence. Couldn't figure the storage option for the kickback grippers.. but that's ok. I'll probably toss them anyway.
Runs smooth. Seems very accurate once all dialed in. Time will tell. From other reviews they say the battery will run all day. I doubt I will put it through that many board feet. Just nice to be mobile.

This van has the Nissan Cummins motor, seating for 12 and 4x4, the tires on it are 35x12.50/18. It was actually a decent looking rig really

Working on the garage/shop. Sure is nice working in 55' shop while it is cold outside.  Shot of heater install. They did a good job.   Then put some heavy shelving above the garage doors.  Unloaded the 22 sheets of Baltic Birch 3/4" plywood I picked up Friday for the cabinets I want to build. Raising kid choices!
I am very much a man of routine for the simple things in my life. I follow the same thing every morning when possible
My wife on the other hand does not from my point of view
Each morning she is up before me getting ready for her day ( ladies take forever) the twins get up between 6-6:10 and start always fighting. One thing they fight about the most is pants they don’t want to wear ( I insist they wear Levi type pants to day care not sweats or lounge type cloths to build that dress right type of foundation I fight regularly with the 11yr old boy) the second fight is over a fruit snack/cracker combo that mom makes for them each morning to take on the car ride to daycare
This is what usually wakes me up. Screaming kids!!! Which is much less than desirable. I have suggested many times we go the few days of a battle of “no treats in the morning” and the routine of them getting treats will get broken and it can go back to being a reward instead of expected. Mom continues to disregard advise and this morning both kids had a flop on the floor breakdown over who got what cup color for the damn crackers!!
Dad now awake, cups removed from said children and treats are going in my mouth right now. The next time I wake up with screaming kids I am moving to the basement.
Less is more with young kids. They don’t need choices they need shown what is right and choices can be made later.
If I ask my son if he wants to put on socks to go outside he will tell me no he doesn’t and walk out into the cold garage. If I tell him Max do you want to come into the garage? “Yes” than you need socks on.
Do you want to go out with dad to work? “No” that’s ok Max be good I’ll be back. If he says “yes” ok you need Levi’s and socks and shoes.
I can’t stand giving kids options they don’t really have a choice on. I can’t stand offering choices that they don’t need
At work this week I was asked to make some custom sample colors for cabinets and my first thought was “YES I can make some custom cool Shiz  and everyone will love it” sat back a minute and thought wait. If I give them a crazy eight-ten step stain process sample some lady will come in love it but not want to pay for it and I will have to repeat the time consuming process on a whole kitchen. I have some simple color choices in the basic colors of blue, brown, red, grey, black and so forth and we will see what the price options will be for others before I make samples and hang them on the wall
Choices fellas choices. I want a hot cup of coffee my morning shower and NO screaming kids to start my morning off with a headache

A good book to read that provides insight into Mueller's current legal team is LICENSED TO LIE by Sidney Powell. She was a lead defense attorney for one of the peripheral defendants in the Enron case.
Specifically Andrew Weissmann and how he and his corrupt District Attorneys had no issue at all destroying someone even when they knew they were innocent. They just used them in the grist mill to try and get anyone to turn on their main target. A special kind of scum. Weissman is Mueller's lead attack dog using the same tactics as he did documented in her book.
They all should be hung.
