Would he be subject to the UCMJ if he was still on is inactive reserve commitment? In the past I knew a few USMC guys a Fort Leavenworth and they have been especially hard on Marine's that stay and their long term bed and breakfast. I think that they would make him feel very welcome.
What kind of sick military gut would do something that would possible hurt another.

Sorry had connection problems yesterday so I'm late for the party. I would have suggested that you ask about a returned/repo lift. Many years ago I had a part time job at a supply house and they had several that got installed and shortly after they saw they needed a larger one or the shop couldn't pay for it/went out of business shortly after install. We sold them for about half price. They also had a bunch of other automotive /shop tools

I actually went to a Museum I know that has the prop I need and proposed that exact swap I said I would cosmetically restore my prop in exchange for their prop as long as it was good.
+money but that was met with a resounding NO!
Well from personal trying this for Air Force aircraft and aircraft sitting at the gate on to a base . I got a big no also. Military retired aircraft don't belong to the base or the Air Force any longer , they belong to congress and unless it will do something for them they won't approve it. 24 years working on aircraft and couldn't wear a wedding ring. Something about "if the military want you to have a wife they would have issued you one" . Some guy forgot or tried to get away with it. Guy lost a finger jumping out of a deicer bucket, another slipped of a wing and others burned those fingers when working with voltage

USAA decided to total the Honda Pilot, not a surprise. Between the to front airbags, left fender, bumper, core support and multiple airbox parts in the engine compartment, it wouldn’t have been cheap to repair. I think they made a decent settlement offer. Now it’s car shopping time.

Replaced the ignition switch and shuts off as it should. New switch has a dead spot, I can live with it for now but will exchange it when it warms up outside, at -25 F I don't even want to open the door. Thanks for all the information and support

I had similar on my 08 turn the key off and it would run on for 1-3 min. the mechanic traced it to the trans. control module! I don't know how that could do it, but mechanic is a friend and it's never done it again. So if the key doesn't do it maybe look that way.

Going drive up and swap his truck for mine and bring it home. Will swap out the switch looks to be pretty easy if it doesn't work I will disconnect the batteries and wait for it to get warmer. Tonight low is 3 deg with a wind chill of -25 deg. After the military there is nothing in me that wants to get out in that to drive anywhere. Well unless the wife gets on my nerves and I will go to the shop and work on it.

I had the kid swap the starter and ecm relay, clear the P2510 code and restarted. Same problem and code comes back , he also told me that the radio, cts and lift pump all stay running. I'm thinking ignition switch but not sure

So grandson came to visit us this weekend, when he went to leave I noticed a u joint clunk on his truck so I sent him home with mine which is 2 1/2 hour drive away one way. He called me today and said he he can turn the key off, remove the key and get out of the truck. The truck will shut down if you pull the ecm fuse in the engine bay. I'm think that it most likely would be the ignition switch but wanted to ask what else it could be and is there a better way to shut the truck off besides pulling the ecm fuse. The truck is an 06 chevy with the LLY /LBZ engine

Food looks great. For this birthday stuff in December, granddaughter is the 11, me and the oldest grandson is the 12, other grandson is the 13 and daughter is the 18. I have told all the kids and grandkids that nobody can have sex in a month that will result in a birth in December

He walks outside this morning and some a$$hat has broken into his truck. They broke the door lock, ignition key lock and the glove box which wasn't lock. They got about $40 a skateboard a hoodie and some old teenis shoes. Nothing that can't be replaced or fixed but darn on his birthday and if they needed it he would have given all that to them. He has a heart of gold. I'm sure it was just some drug user looking for their next score but leave the young hard working kids alone !

I think that the aluminum would look great. But just because I deal with this at work I wanted to remind you of Galvanic corrosion. Putting aluminum and steal together could cause some issues unless you take the proper precautions
