The 4bt would get 1/2 way installed and then it would get pushed into that black hole of a garage to collect space dust

She’s a good girl. Typical teen who questions everything but I’ve taught her to do so respectfully.

I think they make stiffening tubes that go inside the axle housing.  Slide out the shafts, slide in the axle stiffener and reinstall the shafts.

Don, try changing the filters and putting some additive in the tank.  I bet that clears it up.  You may have had some water in the separator and it iced up.

packed for Orlando tomorrow with the oldest daughter who will be performing in the halftime show.

Flying so I won't be carrying a firearm.

checking  a bag with a blade and a VHF/UHF radio and flashlight and small med kit.

Any suggestions?  Will be at Disney and Orlando on a packed schedule and at the stadium on Monday.

Any of you boys have first hand security intel, feel free to PM

You know we are still here.  You had it right when you said one bite at a time.  One of the best benefits of this site is commiserating over our projects to give us the motivation to keep going when we feel like giving up.  It is very cathartic to document the progress and hammer out things we don't have experience with.

Keep it up, and how about a few pics?

Good feedback there OK.  I think I'm fine in Texas but I'll check. Where I can't legally carry a firearm I always have a knife which would likely be the backup to a taser.

I would never dare disparage any branch of the military, having never answered the call or put it on the line.  I seriously didn't think of the Navy as a branch that did a lot of rifle handling, save the few in the SEAL teams.

Wonder how many times the commander got skewered during practice....

I’m the cart on amazon.  Today I made another of what seems like endless trips to the metal building supply.  Bought outer and inner closures and some more screws and then a drip edge for the porch and more
Residential rake as I mis measured by 4 inches. Failing to account for overhang and trim at the rear. I could have pieced it together but I’d always know I screwed up every time I look at it.  So I ordered two new pieces. $30 mistake so it’s not the end of the world

Very cool. I might need to check that out.

Today was a slow day. Bible study and I drove get a couple of rolls of butyl tape and installed flashing on the dormer walls and the porch. Finished the facia around the porch. Have to get some more outside closures.

Charles, what scenario are you thinking you may need one of these? Curious.....
...He still has kids teenage girls living at home...

Fixed it....

When the boys start showing up, I'd like to start with less than lethal.....rubber bullet and then if they are really persistent, the taser....

Seriously, I don't know yet.  Maybe in areas where I'm legally required to not carry a firearm

Any of you LE guys have experience with these?

$1000 rig sold as trade in for $200.

I was thinking about picking one up.  Pros, Cons, other advice is appreciated.  Cartridges are available readily it seems, so after I accidentally taser myself, I should be able to reload it.

Interesting.  Cargo ramp had power according to pilot blogs so cargo should have been able to get in and out.  I would however think that more than one cargo plane would have left or arrived in 11hours.

For some type of "op"  I don't think it should take 11 hours.  If anything that long of a "diversion" invites much more scrutiny than a 30-60 minute in and out op.

I think this one is more hype than anything, but who knows.

Thanks Jared.  You have a link to that foam stuff?

A trick to working with the tape is to leave the wax paper on it until the panel is in place and then put a screw in the panel to hold it in place and slightly lift the edge and pull the paper strip off.

They do Ken. However. Best practice is a line of butyl tape along the top of the panel that gets overlapped. It would have to be some hard wind driven rain to get through but on a low slopes roof I didn’t want to take any chances.

Not sure I’m tracking 100% JR. However as long as you have airspace the foil will be effective. I suppose that if you are keeping heat out then foil goes out. If I’m cold climate the foil would go in?

Here is the porch roof. Two inch overhang. Ran a string to keep it straight.

Seasoned connoisseur , Ken.

They also make soapstone cubes you keep frozen to chill good scotch. I was told many years ago that anything 18 or older , you never put ice in.  Ken is right. If you have one big cube then there is a drinking pace that allows for the perfect amount of water to be introduced.  Too slow and it gets watery.  Too fast and welll....
