Charles,
Yes I have four vertical unistrut bars that run floor to ceiling that I have bearings to go in.
I’m going to have 8 bearings in the unistrut that will control up and down and should keep the frame level as it rises

Looks good Dave. ...but. I think you're in for a lifetime of trying to make it work, reliably, and safely (heavy). Might be 10 times easier to have one side attached solid. More like a Murphy bed. You'll obviously lose some space, but would sure be more reliable. Not trying to be negative. Just an opinion.
I would lend to your thoughts if I haven’t seen it work many times before with other folks. Various ideas on how to get it to lift but all the same general idea. I think it’s about 200lbs now plus add the mattress, I might drill some speed holes into the frame to cut back on weight lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Some more progress till the helper cut the last long straight for a small scrap instead of using the small scrap. Left me two inches short of material Tonight’s goal was to get the foot and head of the bed frames in, I didn’t finish due to the material shortage Note the recessed pulleys ? Slick huh? It’s not bad to do those big flat areas, just time consuming I’d start with a good boat wash, This is a brand I have used with great results https://blingsauce.com/products/hot-sauceSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Most of these GM fenders are held on with the push clips and 3m tape. The tape does a good job for lots of years. Buy new tape and suggest new clips to reinstall the fender flares
Use your eraser wheel to take the old adhesive off.

Volkswagen door panels remove from the outside of the car I know have replaced the sticky lock on the rear driver door, the driver door. First one was neat. Second was simple. Had to buy a set of Triple Square bits to take the door locks out but all in all not a bad job and it will be nice to be able to leave the Jetta outside without worry now. You still get that floating check in the mail while the mail system still works.
But yes. I still need interaction with the outside world and sadly Ken Sean and jr and so forth don’t post enough to fill that void so I have had to venture else where.
It should be enough to support my gun habits ( those have gotten bad), my motorcycle habits, trailer dreams and so forth

Well today I took a step forward and accepted a job at a local plumbing store
It meets my time requirements. He doesn’t want me to work 55 hour weeks, he can be flexible with family needs and it’s not a 45 min drive to work and back. In fact the freeway isn’t even needed.
I will pretty much be the runaround guy. Not anything specific, drive here, deliver that, stock this.
He need help in the mornings unloading shipping trucks and getting stuff on the smaller trucks
Plan is 9-12 each day and see how home life changes
Paying me a good bit more then I was mentally prepared for, which is nice. It’s a good family run company so we’ll give it a go
Told him I’d give it two week trial and see if we all fit together.

I didn’t say you sucked I said That mechanic sucked. Carpenter auto. He was my bishop at my church good as ever on Sunday crook on Monday.
The difference being you put in the time to find an issue. And do your due diligence, he pushed me out the door even after I asked him to look willing to pay for the time

This is what I have brainstormed on one idea Pardon my pencil drawing I also have another option of building the bed frame with more guides In the unistrut Instead of four pulleys on one cable. Use two but have four guides in the unistrut so the bed can’t travel one side of the other without moving Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It’s as classic as a peanut butter sandwich landing butter side down Take the darn thing to a shop and they can’t find what your looking for My favorite was a clunk in the rear drive system of my truck. I asked him to pull the diff and do a fluid check and look at the gears. He told me that he didn’t hear anything and to wait till it actually became a problem Two months later I drove my truck out three stories underground in a parking garage, in 4x4 dragging the rear of my truck to the city street. The rear end exploded pulling out of a parking spot on a first date. Loaded it into a snowmobile trailer and took it home Dented to roof from improper strapping and a massive bump in the free way The mechanic said sorry and billed me the full amount for the rebuild Never got a second date Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

https://youtu.be/WL8hLEvCLGAOk folks what say yeah I am not sold on his motor/drive location it makes it more complicated. I want to stay drill powered. I want to move the drive above the bed at the top of the unistrut and pull them two cables around the bed Follow Cable route Drive motor. Down wall> pulley and under the bed > pulley and up the wall to a fixed spot on the other side of the unistrut I’m concerned the bed will lift in even I don’t know if that causes a problem but it will mess with the OCD for sure Other idea is move motor to middle under bed frame end attach cable at the top of unistrut in four corners following the same pulley structure. Then build a box to hide the motor stuff Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Dave, I doubt we could be affected. I purchase storage, as in I own it, and the server for a year at a time. I pay between $600-$700 annually for that, so I actually own it. Additionally we are small enough that I have considered just installing my own server in me casa where someone would have to cancel my hard line, electricity, or something like that to remove
What would that cost for initial start of that? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Update. After getting kids from school I parked it for about 7 hours When I went to start it I listened for the pump as Ken suggested. I could hear it for s brief moment then it would prime and shut down. Car started fine multipolar times. Ken on the phone said to keep watching and return with more info if it repeats Today this am it drove and started just fine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It’s a gentle reminder it’s an older vehicle,
It still looks really nice, the inside seats and dash are all really nice, the only think of that doesn’t work correctly is the driver window controls don’t always control the back windows, the kids have to roll them up if I roll them down.
Otherwise very please to have this car for as long as we have
