My prayer and yours are Needed
« on: August 02, 2015, 10:54:34 AM »
We/I need your prayers. We/I need Gods strength and encompassing love. We/I need the faith to surrender to Gods care and to fight off the demons of this world. Our own minds are the weakness. My particular challenge as a Husband and Father I feel at the moment I am inadequate.

Friday we learned my wife has a large growth on her left Overy.  She works at the very facility in which she went for the ultrasound that discovered this. Her Dr who was not the one who ordered the scan, came down and looked at the pictures because he cared. He told her she needs surgery, it has to removed. He said this forcefully and with emotion, and he then gave her a hug. We see a specialist 7am Monday to learn what we are facing, or he may tell us nothing as Dr's often do.

So I implore you all please find a moment to show God your faith and love, ask him to surround her with his love and to give her the faith she needs to walk the path he has chosen.

Our children , our family as a whole are all scared. I personally have never faced a fear like this. I have gotten around in life and I have always managed in some way with Gods grace to be a pillar of strength. I am outwardly showing this strength as the hours tick on the best I can. But internally I am weak, I feel unable to even control my thoughts. The usual confidence I have in the Lords protection is shaken...I can't desire to eat/sleep, or care to even think about things in life that need doing. I want to stop every man woman and child I see and beg them to Pray for my wife. What is worse we have no real news, there is nothing about my feelings that in any way could possibly make the Lord proud.  Except my utter love and appreciation to him for her being in my life. I am clearly doubting...I am failing the Lord. My wife...them all. I thank him for her, I pray, I thank him more, I pray...I see one of our children struggling, I push aside my fears the best I can and talk to them about God, how he loves their Mom and them, they have to have faith. I pray with them... but they see my fear, they see my weakness. I implore you Lord give me what I need in your eyes to lead myself, our children, our so dearly loved Mother and wife in the path of your choosing. I ask humbly you protect her and us all from these evils, give us the ability together to continue guiding with your love, our family and all those we meet.

I feel I am unable to close my eyes and Pray, the fears come, I chase them away they come back. They interrupt even my ability to talk with God. I feel detached, I am typing this because I need to say how I feel, I need to find the love and strength I know the Lord is trying to show me. Family has offered support, those that we know have as well.  I believe I am at this point at the Lords feet begging, I am not ashamed of that, I know in our weakness we find strength, he promises us that, I just have not yet found that....

I took a moment in my time here to read some of these prayer requests, struggles. I am going to pray for you all now as unselfishly as I can manage. God be with us all, you and my family.

Lord, help Norm to realize that by FAITH all things are possible, that we only need to ask  once and believe, and we shall receive your blessings as they relate to your plan for all of us.

God, pour out your healing upon Norms wife, guide the Doctors in all matters they undertake pertaining to this growth, and REMOVE IT and restore her to health and vitality.  Grant Norm and his entire family, strength, courage and faith as they are going thru this difficult time; surround them with your love and peace.

For we ask all these things in Jesus name, and thy WILL be done- Amen!

Thank you all.. I have the understanding I need to Surrender to the Lord and trust and believe in his will. I have asked maybe too much. Cuda said it and I thank him for it... we need to ask once, God knows our plight and hers. What he wants from me and everyone, is our belief and trust in his love.

From now and for the duration, I will share that understanding with all here who are hurting, and remain firm and strengthen in my belief of Gods love.

Just got in from Church.

OK, scary times indeed, however Faith owns fear. Fear is of the devil. Jesus conquered death. He took the stripes for all our sin and he owns affliction, he conquered it actually. That means through the power of God and the great physician, Jesus, the Christ, we as heirs to God's family have power over affliction as well.

Mike was correct earlier. Pray it and believe. The part about believing is the big part, because not quite believing is like being a little bit pregnant. You either believe it or you don't. Don't ask God to heal your wife, claim control over this.

In the name of Jesus, the name which has power, I claim dominion over this affliction. Satan you have been beaten, Death has been conquered, and affliction has been put asunder to the power of Jesus. In HIS name this will NOT be. I command this disease to leave her body and affect her no more. Thank you father God, and thank you Jesus for dying for Miss Kay and for Norm, and for me and everyone else. Thank you for that sacrifice. We praise you, we worship you, we exhault you above all others, Amen

Norm, pray that and believe it completely

Thank you all for your support in all forms you have expressed. My wife and I/family are eternally grateful.

We have been through the ringer the last few days. We are unsure what to think about the Dr's involved in this entire deal. What I can say is for now we are praising the Lord and we are awaiting his further direction.

The appointment yesterday with a well liked Gyno was a complete upside down experience in faith and temper management. I will at some point type it all out, but for now the present news is the Dr saw no need for concern. That said, she is very psychically miserable.

The large growth radiology saw with the first ultrasound, and what upset the Dr and techs became in the last Gyno's words a "burst cyst" in this last ultrasound. We are unsure what to think, but a large "solid mass" they saw is now a cyst the Dr felt was in his words, "not that large" and "he see's no reason for a concern regarding cancer at this point" So with that at the moment anyway, we are trying to figure out the next step besides the obvious helping her now recover and reduce her discomfort she presently has.  She has a fair amount of pain, but she's still at work taking care of her people she feels need her there.

So with that we are ever so thankful to the Lord for this love he has bestowed us and working on our human efforts of showing him that love in return as we live our lives.

So again, thanks all for every thought and prayer, Love is a wonderful and powerful part of life. And God is love.

Norm,

I had complete confidence last night it was not a cancer. I was praying over it and the word Cyst kept coming to my mind. And the thought that she will be OK as well. My impression was that she may want to have it surgically removed, but it was not life threatening. I knew if we claimed victory over this, then God will answer that prayer and honor it as it adds glory to his kingdom.

I hate being so bold in this, but that was really coming to me. And another thought...That God, well, I almost want to say, healed her, but I am not sure, just an impression. When I was thinking about her, my thoughts kept going to, "I will be happy when this is behind her so she can get back to work on that truck or RC." I just believe she is going to be fine.

As miserable as it is to bear and frustrating as it is to hear, this is the best news you could get. Part of what put me into my previous financial mess was the multiple ER trips trying to figure out what was wrong with my wife. Vision would cloud, numbness in the face, heart palpitations, and tons of other symptoms linked to thyroid, and premenopausal conditions. Turns out she had an 8cm cyst on her right ovary and when it burst, it was a nightmare of pain and other issues. Hormones were whacked for months after the fact, but she came back strong and eventually all her symptoms abated. It was the first thing that came to my mind also when you wrote about your wife's situation. My wife is only 35, so they didn't look for any of that to start with, but where there was a mass suddenly there was only a void, and her ovary was enlarged for several visits subsequently until it finally returned to normal. God's looking out for you guys Norm.

My wife also had a cyst on her ovary that burst...she was in incredible pain. But it passed without any issues. I am very happy to hear this news....not the pain she is in obviously but she should know it will pass. As for the Doc it sounds like not great bedside manner? I have seen Docs like that too and given my choice of a bad Doc with great bedside manner and a great doc with lousy bedside manner I would prefer the lousy bedside manner every time. My parents stuck with a great bedside manner guy for far too long (GP) and I'm convinced my Dad's cancer would have been caught earlier if they had changed years earlier. But hey, no matter- what matters is the relief you must all be feeling right now. I am very glad for that!

Norm,

I too have prayed over this and feel all will be well. I would love to hear an update either here or a phone call. I believe it took two miscarriages for the ovarian cyst my wife had to be found. Once found, a couple months later with 30 minutes of surgery and a 6" wound it was removed. Then two years later we were blessed with our son. God is with all of His children who know Him and believe in Him, and that no doubt includes you and yours.
