I just don't want to wind up missing a digit or limb. I can sometimes get in a hurry to get results.

to be honest, just about all of the socket wrenches and other socket stuff could be replaced with this set and you would have a heck of a lot of room left over.http://www.craftsman.com/craftsman-85pc-universal-max-axess-mts/p-00937698000P?irpToWcs=true&sid=IDxCMDFx20140801x001&KPID=00937698000&kpid=00937698000&redirectType=SRDThttp://www.craftsman.com/craftsman-113-piece-universal-max-axess-mechanics-tool/p-00952113000Phttp://www.craftsman.com/craftsman-cm-131pc/p-00940131000PI own the 85 piece set and have yet to really find a socket that I am missing out on, because this set will do both regular and deep well. now the 131 piece set with the extra wrenches and bit drivers has caught my eye. plus the 85 and 113 piece sets are star shaped socket head which allow you to work on any kind of bolt head.

Take a look at these Don. I use these daily...pricey but it replaces a lot of tools, like if you didn't want to carry combo wrenches past 3/4 or crescent wrenches for example. They have an extreme amount of leverage (read: they wont round off a bolt, or oxy gauge, or ....)Those germans have figured out how to make some awesome pliers. If you ever try their regular slip-joints, you would throw your old ones in the trash!https://www.google.com/shopping/product/1378909593166912777?q=knipex+adjustable+pliers&biw=1536&bih=692&bav=on.2,or.r_cp.&bvm=bv.96952980,d.cGU&tch=1&ech=1&psi=hkiVVfXyDZCioQTMuqngBw.1435846790207.5&prds=paur:ClkAsKraX5qg84Zn2abBWVpx0xsyEss-D95x-F6tWj-SPFDOCh3cnRGY-C7GJYbX1Gk5Wlc2ItEqz3b1-5xMKdLub8ybXh8FKGJfANJEKddGKRhW2B417RzLUxIZAFPVH71HzSTzVVhcwZN0iALmXM_qSGNw6A&ved=0CFkQpis&ei=A0mVVcbSD5TUoATL75Uwhttps://www.google.com/shopping/product/2578501430200113394?biw=1536&bih=692&output=search&q=knipex+adjustable+pliers&oq=knipex+adjustable+pliers&prds=paur:ClkAsKraX9ZaSFbLTJMU4nGEGFfQN-ZmPEGhift66-m8J2uop5LwbSoDS4EFqmdZz9ZZiTMbof5EDc2DdyybsclbFbQB8UPuT_VKJJGcCjOKOtzxF5K1bW4ROxIZAFPVH72NZbl5lxfQQ0uM4BwkdwiYrOBufg&sa=X&ei=20qVVaWmM8fVoAT0xriQBw&ved=0CJ8CEPMCMAI

I would say you need a good bench vice. They make them that slide in the receiver.
Depending on the vehicle a series of torx drivers might make sense.
I don't know if you have anywhere else on the truck but a tire plug kit. Not the cheap one but a nice t handle and extra plugs Cleaners or spray cans like carb or brake cleaner, electrical grease, a few zip ties go along way, of course tape like electrical tape Keeping the early morning rolling, the afternoon hours snoring, the late night hours feeling the powers.
