Don't tell Tex, but the wife and I are in San Antonio today for a stop on my daughter's nationwide tour ... Hopefully checking out the Alamo sometime today before heading back home.Sent from a spaceship
I just don't want to wind up missing a digit or limb. I can sometimes get in a hurry to get results.
since saturday.. all the horizontal retaining wall and posts have been set. as well as tamping it all in with a jumping jack. been a long weekend.. but it was a much needed win for our corner (dad, brother and myself) since the tunnel has new kicking our butt since day one. hahahthe depressed/half octagon shape is for a burn/'s'mores' pitt that my mom is kinda putting on for our wedding. not only that, but it'll be a cool place to go hang out and burn stuff well after the wedding has come and gone. just kind of a neat little add-on..those tall posts will be cut off at ground level as well..
Like the back 'yard'!Went shooting the 19 and 21 today. Couple hundred through each. Now in a hotel room 200 miles from home. My poor brown dog may have blown out her other knee. Since Thursday night we've had half an inch of rain in conjunction with about six inches of snow. Needless to say it was an entertaining drive. Put the Bubba rope to use again pulling a half ton out of he ditch. He was setting on/in three feet of snow. Another fella had tried with another half ton and couldn't do anything more than spin. Did I mention the freezing rain, could hardly stand on the road. Two good tugs and he was on his way. But found out in my goodies I need a 20 k strap a few feet long. I'm not a fan of shocking chain that hard. My 1" shackle doesn't work in the new Chevy tow hooks. And they are a loop now not a hook!
Tate, very nice view. Specs on the garage are missing, it does have a garage right?
Tater, .25 acre???Man you had better like your neighbors. If one snores you'll hear it! If the other has gas and is upwind.... Love ya, man! Good for you, nice house, but I don't imagine you will stay there for a lifetime
Tate, that is a really big Lake you are on. Can you watch the shipping lanes from the house?
Love to see what you negotiate for a px on the rope. I have a few snatch straps but some of them (true "snatch straps" not tow straps which don't stretch) don't really stretch if what your pulling out is really light. Maybe the kinetic rope works the same way I don't know? Just for you to negotiate off of.... https://www.amazon.com/U-S-made-KINETIC-RECOVERY-Snatch/dp/B00G4GBX9G/ref=pd_day0_263_4?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=HMF0BDC0K03VMNRMXM4Q
